Finding groups to run 4-man dungeons with?

As a dps, I'm having trouble finding groups to run Fungal Grotto (trying for a good kragh set and some decent dreugh king weapons) and Undaunted dailies. I've run them with my guild, but I feel weird constantly bugging them for someone to run with. I tried the dungeon finder, but just sat forever in queue. And LFG groups in chat only seem to want healers and tanks. Not to mention that randoms don't have Teamspeak, which would make decent communication a pain (I really wish they would offer built-in group voice chat on the PC the way they have on consoles).

I'm actually considering temporarily respeccing my DK dps as a tank just to find groups.

So, should I go tank? Is there a dungeon-focused guild I could join? Are there tricks to grouping up that I'm missing? I'm new to this 4-man dungeon thing, so any advice would be appreciated.

If the people in your guild are accepting the requests you make then why would you feel weird about accepting their acceptance and running the dungeons with them?

In the guilds I am in, there are folks who run these things every day with the same 4 or 5 people farming for gear. In fact, that is how you propose this, LFG Farm Fungal Grotto. Every one knows your going to want to run the dungeons over and over again, so when they sign up for that, no reason to feel guilty. I see these all the time in my guild chat and the groups get filled and they go and farm their gear.

Because, as a DPS looking to run a specific dungeon, your going to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait some more. For each and every farm run.

Because most of them already have their end-game gear and I get the sense that they're just trying to be nice by running them with me. Farming a dungeon over-and-over isn't like asking for someone to take on a world boss. It's a lot of time to invest just to do a favor for a guildee who doesn't have his gear yet.

You have a guild just for farming, pledges and such? How does that work?

You never know so never assume. Besides, if they don't want to run, then they won't accept. This is what Guilds are for as I am sure you will do farm runs for others at some point? Right?

And, who is not to say that they don't want some Dreugh King for their Alts?

on ps4/NA FG1 and CoA1 are the two most commonly run dungeons. Anytime I que for either I get a group almost instantly. Darkshade and Blessed Crucible are the two I can never find groups for. But Group Finder is broken and needs to be reworked. Hopefully after they fix it, it will be much easier to que up

I'm working on my undaunted rep with my DPS and have started setting up the groups myself. I can usually get them filled in a short period of time. Asking in zone has given me the best luck. Just be flexible on roles and you should be fine (talking about normal that is, haven't run enough vets to comment).

I thought group finder was acting wonky lately. Didn't know it was broken again....(

Yup sure do. We are called dungeon dwellers and well, we dwell in dungeons lol. Formed in 2013 we just love to do pve content and i personally run pledges on 3 or 4 characters daily.

Hit me or @heroofnone up in game. We just need to run a dungeon with you first to check for culture fit and you are in.

We have guild with groups that are running the dungeons most all of the time and we regularly do them without tanks. PM me and we'll set you up. Its okay if your guild list is full.

Sometimes I'm random, sometimes guildie, but I never use any verbal communication in eso. It's simple as I can communicate in simple English only, but talking while playing would distract me too much. Because English isn't my language. I think many players think similar way and decide to choose the chat only. It's more convenient and especially for randoms, it's hardly a game in which you could make friends from doing random dungeons, even if you can find some exceptions .

When I queue as a dps for random normal or vet I usually have to wait 30minutes to an hour for a group. But if I queue up as a tank I am in immediately. When I pug farmed COA a few weeks back I could enter instantly back to back to back all day long if I queued up as a tank. There are tons of people in queue just no one wants to tank.

Yeah, that's why I was thinking of respeccing. But tanking and healing require a lot more skill and work than just whacking bad guys with a stick or blowin' everything up (my normal play style). Still, tanking would certainly be a valuable skill to learn.
