Tank armor set dps proc

Hello, I have been looking at some armor sets for tanks and I've found that the Tremorscale monster set does good aoe dmg and has a very good aoe movement slow.

To compliment this I want an armor set that do good damage by blocking or taunting. I have seen that Embershield do quite some dps by procing on heavy or light attacks. Though that damage is flame damage, which is magic damage..

Is there any armor set that have physical damage on proc like Tremorscale?

Ofc there are armour sets that have physical / poison / disease damage procs. Here you find a list of all sets that exist in game.
I guess a combination that fits to your search is 2 tremorscale, 5 affliction (on armour), 5 viper (jewelery + weapons). But just to make you aware of, such selfish combinations are usually not the best for your group performance, even though it can be fun to play.

Thank you, that looks like a good combination. Extra damage in pve is always good, even if it's from a tank. If I can do 15 000 extra damage every 4 sec.. Wow. Though I'd like it all to be aoe to clear trash faster.

Well, another option could be roar of alkosh. The proc of that set does aoe damage and debuffs the armour and spell resist of every enemy you hit with the proc. The only issue is that it procs when you use synergies, so you need a group that provides synergy options (e.g. shards, orbs, liquid lightning). But if you have a reliable group, it's one of the best sets to support your group's dps as a tank.

A sword and board/ jewelry set of the Night Terror armor set might be interesting. When you take melee damage from an attacker, you deal 2000 variable poison damage to them and the set can proc once a second. It also boosts max health and stamina and if you find it helpful, reduces sneak detection radius. You can still pair that up with a monster set and another 5 piece.

Twin Sisters can do a 5 meter AOE bleed for 8800 over odd variable damage over 8 seconds when blocking (20% chance) too as an alternative.

I use Tremorscale, Tava's & Thunderbug (50% chance to proc a shock AoE when hit by physical damage every 3 sec). When I need a few more HP I swap out the Thunderbug for Plague Doctor.
If you want a physical damge proc you can get Morihaus and go on a dodge roll frenzy.

    Caveat; Play however you want.

Caveat; these recommendations are content specific and are generally pointed towards veteran dungeons and trial content.

Having the two caveats here is this; if you are running group content and have average to great DPS in your group; any extra DPS for trash pulls you will never see. If you have even average DPS almost all trash will be dead before you round them up.

Second; while proc sets (viper) are nice they help you (a little) and do next to nothing for a group.

Third; You can do more as a tank to clear trash or burn bosses by supporting your group then by getting a proc.

    Fully debuffing a boss
Having warhorn or other utility ultimates (negate, standard, veil, nova) that reduce damage shield dispel effects or buff the group is far more effective then a viper proc.

Sunderflame, Tavas, Dragon, Bahamas Curse. Alkosh are all sets that provide some DPS bonuses but also a ton of group utility.

    Again; play how you want

But; in more then a few groups the differncw between beating Molag Kena is not 40 K worth of viper procs but having a nova or veil of blades to mitigate damage or a warhorn to buff the DPS yield of the group.

I'm running 5pc Black Rose inpen, 2pc tremorscale and Agility weapons/jewelry. Ive been wanting to farm Viper but not had time. It's really nice. I tank on stamsorc and slot hardened ward for vet. That 4 second proc is nice too. I s&b my main slot, proc, swap to 2h axe and crit rush. Deals about 14,000 DPS every 4 seconds.

Nice tips guys. I'll be looking more into each set and see what I can do with them. Tanking in ESO is a taunt and block spam, so doing some extra damage is always fun.

That is true in most non-dlc Vets. However, as soon you do trials, forget about your dps.

Right now, with my sorc tank, I am doing 8k of dps normally, by using Thunderbug, Stormfist and Jolting sets. Have a very good resistance as well

With my tank (StamDK) I am using 5pc Hatchling Shell, 5pc Thunderbug Carapace & 2pc Tremorscale. I was unsure about the Thunderbug (being magic damage) but it usually rates as my third highest DPS in trash mob fights... behind Tremorscale & Pierce Armour. If you have a bunch of mobs wailing on you, the Thunderbug procs quite often... it doesn't do huge damage but it's AOE & it all helps!

I am going to change out my Hatchling Shell (kinda small shield) for Undaunted Bastion when I get all the right pieces.

I'm currently running Blood Spawn, Akaviri Dragonguard and Tava's. I call that the Juggernaut Tank because you drop Ultimates everywhere. My second set which is alternate is Malubeth, Twin Sisters and Knight Errant's/Armour master.

    Seventh Legion Brute.
    Or Way of Fire.

Although, I highly recommend you stop trying to DPS as a tank.
Instead, focus on doing your job, and doing it well.

A good tank will raise the DPS of his group members instead of contributing with his sub-par damage.

Does the thunderbug set proc while blocking? I've been using jolting arms, but if thunderbug still procs from mitigated damage received while blocking it would be far better.

Yes, it does, on my Thunderbugs + Grothdars equipped tank I can do 10k dps while blocking. I wouldn't recommend it for Trials, iffy for vet dungeons, but for PUG normal dungeons and soloing it can be great to clear things.

Because Stamina tanks are the only tanks, according to Zenimaxes design.

This isn't really true. You can tank with either a sta or magicka focus, you just need health and enough methods to keep your sta bar filling up.
