Is grothdar really best though? I have both skoria and grothdar, skoria seems to hit harder and more often proc cooldown.
I'm talking about in 4 man vet dungeons mainly single target boss with millions of health.

See skoria crit often over 25k in 4 man content with self buffs only.

Skoria is utter crap in comparison. On st if you are lucky you can get 1.8-2k dps while grothdar does double that ez. Even worse on trash where grothdar can get 10k+. All those numbers are taken from my raiding grp with good buffs hut it doesn't change the ratio of the 2 sets. Also max mag bonus vs max health also makes a difference.

    Key word: raiding group.

In pugs get no buffs from others in 4 man content. I have bis gear but just saying feel like skoria hits harder for me overall on single target bosses but no way to test on console.

As I already said it doesnt matter if you are in a raidgroup or not. Sure the overall damage changes but not the ratio between the 2 sets. For pvp both are good, for pve grothdarr outclasses skoria ez.

Depends on target. Try using it against Ra Kotu...mol twins is useless (also very hard to see your feet)...2nd hel Ra boss (up top) it's useless. Grothdarr is only good for trash packs. Single target it's trash.

Bis meaning is getting lost more and more as time goes on.

I just assume every necro post confirms that Necromancer is the next class to be released.

i know its old thread but why make new1 about same topic?

    i would go for
    Innate Axiom
cause spel damage same but its always and no 12 sec cooldown and i use class skills only for attack and i can make them divines
    And second set
Silks of the Sun same it has 400 always on

this (When you deal damage with a Flame Damage ability, you apply the burning status effect to the enemy and increase your Spell Damage by 490 for 8 seconds. This effect can occur once every 12 seconds) makes Burning Spellweave ridiculous in my opinion, u have increased spell damage for 8sec and cooldown of this effect is 12sec when other 2sets are 400 always

Because the original thread has very outdated information for outdated builds for a game that has changed many times since the OP posted this.

    ^ This

Burning Spellweave no longer functions on RNG, it just happens.

As a result it received a bit of a tuning to dial back the spell and weapon damage awarded, but the higher and guaranteed uptime more than made up for it.
