No sign in option

when viewing forums on google chrome android with request desktop site there is no sign in option anywhere on screen, using the mobile version I can log in via menu top left but on desktop version there is no sign in option anywhere, usually use desktop PC at home to view forums so I know where the sign in option should be but trying to view the site on my mobile while at work cant sign in unless I switch to mobile version which I dislike.
