So I leveled a PVP focused mag DK up during the witches festival and got him decked out in his sets for now. I went with 5 sun: 3 jewels shield and waist. I paired it with 5 kags: sword (sharpened) Chest, legs, boots and hands all heavy and all with max magicka enchants. Met some cool dudes farming and helped them out with the set pieces they were after. I gave away at least 6-10 pieces to people that were looking for. Building up some good karma thinking it would surely pay off soon. I spent 4 days of about 5-7 hrs a day farming for a impen sun belt to no avail. At one point I and another even prayed to RNGeebus (I'm on the left):


2 more days and still nothing.... I found and purchased one from a vendor in Mournhold so I guess that's a win.

I was running Molag Kena for a monster set and found it to just further complicate the sustain issues with a DK. I knew it would and hardly used it so after some internal debating and thinking on Grothdarr, Llambris, or Infernal Guardian I decided to go with Grothdarr. Having my mind made up I went back to Mournhold looking for a PUG to farm Vaults of Madness. A short while later I found a fellow who was willing to help but not on vet mode. I thought, no problem I wouldn't mind some Rattlecage gear so it's still a win. He wanted the Worm Cult set so we agreed that we would trade/give the set pieces to the other. Off to the dungeon we go.

After telling him that I can solo the dungeon in about a half hour and we should have no problem cruising through it we meet the first boss and get decimated. Like hard. A quick check and yup.... it's vet. Well, my momma didn't raise no quitter so onward we slogged. A couple wipes and bruh-ing down bonding we made it to the final boss. Got her down to 30% and we just couldn't finish her off. My game glitched when reviving my comrade and got stuck on the full circle res complete icon but it wouldn't clear off so I could NOT res my partner if he were to die. He dies.... wipe. We ended up having to recruit a third and on the second try BOOM she dead!

Looting the corpse my eyes spotted the helm. Sad that it would most likely be training or prosperous and that the last 2 hrs were a complete wast of my time I went into my inventory to see which horrible trait I got.........



ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! ON THE FIRST RUN?!?!?! THIS NEVER HAPPENS!!!!

Who knew that rngeebus had a kind side? I sure didn't.

Maybe you get better RNG running dungeons with less than 4 players. I did it with 3 players last weekend and ended up getting light divines to go with my light divines shoulder (2 of them actually, wish I could give one away and I don't have the heart to decon it). This was my second run of vVOM. Now I just need to roll a mag DK...

Probably the most epic RNG victory was before I started doing PVE. You know, when PVP was good. I had a heavy impen Skoria helmet I bought from the vendor but the shoulders never came.
I gave up and decided to finally start my undaunted journey. I took my character to the Rosey Lion, went to spindle, back to the Rosey lion and got initiated.
Picked up my first key in Stormhaven (the one you get for free). Opened up the chest, and boom, a heavy impen Skoria shoulder. I wanted to cry.
Since PVP went to hell all I've done is PVE and I now have like 50 skoria shoulders in every possible weight and trait.

RNG doesn't favor me this way, but my husband got the Medium Divines helm he wanted on his first try, so that was exciting. (I was there for that run, so I got to help).

And I was the only other person in chat last week when a guildmate finished vMA for the very first time, and snagged a sharpened fire staff as his reward. Laughing, screaming, crying, and some very confused voices in the background of people who had been woken up by the festivities. I was so glad to be in chat to hear that and celebrate with him, what an awesome experience to share.

RNGeebus is never kind.
He just plays with your emotions, giving you false hope by providing acceptable traits like Infused or Precise only to drag you thru the mud with Training or Prosperous forever before getting bored of you and giving you your Divine/Sharpened gear so that you will praise him with worship.

RNGeebus was kind to me on a recent day- started with a run thru vWGT. never a pleasant stroll to begin with- but my luck on this run made the stress of the dungeon disappear. walked past a heavy sack- 5 kuta- thank you very much! that never happens for me, i only heard others talk on it and thought they were joking. i couldnt help grinning thru my team getting wiped over and over. for me it was already a win.
then on the boss, picked up a heavy impen helmet. joy. !
then i went to craglorn to do my writs- killed a couple of imps and ooh what do we have here? ninrncrux you say? picked up another in rubedite a few minutes after that.

but its had another side too- as we all know....
(over 100 nSO runs no jewellery!- please just mail them direct pls ZoS. cheers)

RNG hates me. The best thing that has ever happened was getting five Kuta from a heavy sack.

One run with a friend in Spindleclutch and between the two of us I got the heavy infused Swarm Mother helmet I needed for my blazing shield Trollplar. Rng isn't ALWAYS evil.

I was happy with my divines Kena shoulder, but for me nothing (besides that elusive sharpend vMA staff) can beat the 10 Kuta I found in a heavy sack while sneaking around the Elven Gardens District.

First Undaunted chest I opened when IC went live: Heavy Divines Kena Shoulders
I was also lucky enough when I opened my first chest in IC: Xivkyn Chest Motif and 2 Arcane Rings of Willpower

But other than that, unlucky :
- Only Sharpened Stamina vMSA weapons
- Never got the Kuta from Heavy Sack
- Took over 200 dungeons runs before I found my first Monster Helm, and that was during a v5 run with ppl who ran a vet dungeon for the first time
- Never found a Divines Kena or Grothdarr Helm: got the Divines Med Kena through a trade
- The only rings I seem to find from vet trials are the VO rings, not the Aether ones >_>
- And so on...
