[Solved] All my characters are gone...

I logged in for the first time since the "One Tamriel" update (PC) When I did, I was notified as a "new computer" although I played ESO 300+ hours on this PC. It asked me to link my account to Steam, I did since I bought the game there anyway. I logged in picked NA (all my toons are NA) and I was welcomed to the intro video then a character creation screen. I was worried kinda pissed. Then I realized I can't pick Imperial race. (I purchased the Imperial Digital Upgrade via Crown Store) So I mad a toon just to access my in game Crown Store and all my purchased items were no longer purchased. I sent a ticket last night, I received the automated "We're sorry" letter and to list what I lost, but still no info. I'm losing hope. If this doesn't get resolved I'm leaving ESO. Due to poor customer service. I refuse to spend REAL money to repurchase items I already did.

    Not only money exchanged hands once, but multiple times with in game purchases. Still no feed back from them. Zenimax is a Joke.

    Did you pick the correct server?
    Live vs EU?
    Restart the game a couple of times?
    Try switching servers and back.

    Definitely send in a support ticket. Keep in mind it's late so you may not get an answer until tomorrow. If you get an automated sounding response, reply to that one to hopefully get a human rather than starting a new ticket.

    My usual is IF I reply within 12-24 hours of getting the reply to the ticket and specifying they got it wrong - usually about 3 tries and I get actual help.

    Let it go 72 hours or so and the whole thing resets and you have to start over.

He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Could it possibly be that someone deleted your characters when you weren't looking? A friend, sibling, a child?

    I had a friend who maxed like four or five toons over five years in WoW. His girlfriend at the time got mad at him and wanted revenge. She logged on his name and wiped everything.


    I'd think this would be more probable than getting all of your characters wiped while no one else is really experiencing the same issues.

    We're all logged on the same server. Why only one account out of many tens of thousands accounts, to millions of different toons gets deleted, is quite odd.

    Did you try to log into your account here on the website? You can check your billing history.

    Did you specify the server on the client launcher though? I know thats an extra step for PC users, that theres a server selection on both the launcher and in the log in screen.

    That option doesn't exist on the launcher anymore, I've checked. Only in game, now.

    Try this, when you log in, first log into EU, when you get to char select log out, swich to NA and log again. That used to work for me when the problem was live, only i did it other way around since im home at EU.

    I'm not sure how it works with Steam, but you might want to check your "Documents>Elder Scrolls Online" folder, you should have a "lievna_archive" folder and a "live" folder. All your previous character info and user settings should be in the "lievna_archive" folder and copying them over to the "live" folder should fix it.

All your previous character info and user settings should be in the "lievna_archive" folder and copying them over to the "live" folder should fix it.

    Awesome, glad it worked.
    Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

    Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
    Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
    Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
    Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
    Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
    Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
    Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
    Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
    Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
    Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    When I did it the first time I had a new toon just to check my crown store. I guess he was interfering the reload of my toons.
