Max level writs - where's the logic behind this?

I stopped doing writs at the release of Imperial City DLC, so this week due to the celebration of Orsinium I decided to do writs in Wrothgar to see how a survey there would be. I didn't get any surveys, but here's my issue:
  • Made sure I had skillpoints spent to do the highest level of all writs
  • Picked up writs in Orsinium (Wrothgar)
  • Had to deliver the writs to the quartermaster in Belkarth (Craglorn)
  • Was rewarded by some random stuff, 1 rosin, 1 dreugh wax, 3 shipment packs with 25x level 1 ingots, level 36 cloth, level 36 sanded wood.

Picks writs up in Orsinium, but have to deliver them to Belkarth, and shipment crates give me low level junk? O_O ...why?

They moved the Writ drop off back to Belkarth for consistency with those who do not have the DLC. Also, Consoles, in particular the Xbox1 had issues with Wrothgar and logging into that zone, or at least the city of Orisnium. So, now all top end are dropped off in Belkarth like they used to be.

The containers are ZOS's response to eliminating intermediate materials from Crafting Nodes across the game.

And, thanks for making us Jealous with your Gold Temper return.

I actually still get yellow resins like 3 times a week in average , my number 1 source for especially kuta's
the drop rate for glass frags also seems more frequent to me

@ OP if not for the resins i wouldn't bother with those writs anymore

I only did about 10 writs post 1T and my Temper Return was pretty bad. It could be RNG for sure, and I may start doing the writs again as mat prices have dropped.

My Hirelings? I don't think they would know a gold temper if it smacked them in the face and left gold paint on their cheek.

now for those hirlings really don't deserve a single sp attributed even when you have 10 left over , really not worth it i agree
but you definately gotta catchup with the writs , as it doesn't require much mats anymore (mats are everywhere now) just to get some yellow goodies
    and when i say 3 resins i mean 3 dreug wax , 3 kuta's.. a week

Hirelings bring me gold tempers 1-2 times a month on 5 chars, and a small amount of raw materials. I'd rather spend my skillpoints elsewere... even for provisioning. >.< I can go and grind mobs for 5 minutes and get the same profit as if I had those damn hirelings, which take over 5min to log into.

I can imagine it doesnt pay off for consoles if cp150+ materials are still expensive, otherwise on PC/EU the prices are low enough for writs to give economic sense to do. I gained more gold than I spent on making those writs, however I'm concerned about inventory clutter. I have crafting bag, but it's annoying to have to filter through so much clutter.

Maybe I'm just missing something here, but I never thought it mattered where you picked up the crafting writ from. I just thought it mattered what level you were skilled up to.

Being max level, I could get a writ from anywhere, but I always turned it in in Belkarth.

I just did yesterdays & todays writs:
2 alloys, 1 kuta, flowers and a ton of crates with 25x
    • void cloth
    • thick leather
    • orichalcum ingot
    • sanded nightwood
    • sanded hickory
    • galatite ingot

This is just inventory clutter, before 1Tamriel people could use their levelled crafters to pick up the materials they wanted, now it's just a big chaos and inventory clutter. I wonder how players with no crafting bag deal with max level writs?

You know that most refined materials sell for more than that to players? Some much more...the few I looked at had prices of 10-20/material, or 250-500 gold for your crates.

Sometimes the hassle of selling thru a guild is not worth it and it is a better use of your time to sell to an NPC.

@Reorx_Holybeard materials below the cp cap don't sell very well, you can get stuck with 30/30 filled storeslots and not get anything sold for 2 weeks+. They are only high in price, because those people who need them will pay almost any price that is within reason, but it is a slow way of earning gold compared to just fill up those 30 slots with cp150+ materials that takes a few hours to get rid off, and you have room to set more items up for sale.

I really dislike having to vendor low level materials, because when I actually need them they're freaking hard to find and buy, so I try to sell mine as much as possible ...and holy hell it is bothersome.
