I was just kicked and I have no idea why.

Hi,

Can anyone give me an idea why I just got kicked ?

I started nCoA for my daily, found a group pretty fast and, as usual, said "Hi" when I got in.

After being in for 2 minutes and seeing that the tank just went offline, I decided to start going as I know I can solo it.

As I still got no new of the tank after 5 minutes since dungeon started and got no answer from the 2 others when asking where he was, I started a vote to kick him.

30 sec after starting that vote, I got kicked.

Nobody died, and nearly all the mobs attacked me.

Any idea why I got kicked ?

I don't really care for it but this kind of thing happen to me sometimes and if I do something wrong, I prefer to know why. And since I have nothing better to do during the 15min delay is over...

There are just some terrible players out there that will kick you for carrying them. Happened to me a few days after 1T hit. Like in your case, they all hadn't the slightest urge/decency to communicate before-hand.

Im not sure, but sometimes stuff like this makes dungeon quest inaccessible (I had this problem a few times,quests just wouldnt progress if mobs/bosses in the next rooms were killed. For example, this can happen with those quests that require you to wait until npcs finish their conversations, like in Selene's Web).
Also if you killed one of the bosses, the person that dced wouldnt get a pledge. This also happened to me a few times.

You seemed to be the hasty random that wants to rush pledges as fast as possible, because his time is precious. Are my prejudices correct?

Just accept his disconnect and wait, or leave next time. You started kicking, dont be surprised to get the boot.

The only people who know why are the ones who kicked you.

Sorry but these threads are getting a bit ridiculous just move on find another group , go collecting mats while you wait for the cool down to expire or run with the guild.

Annoying yes but do we really need every person who gets kicked making a thread ?

Probably a trio of friends. Still just carry on amd solo the rest whilst you wait. It's easy coa1 and they'll still get the pledge done.

Never pull or start fights if ur not the tank.
Also if you're joining a group communicate, don't just go in and don't say I can do this...

NEVER vote to kick anyone cause they went DC unless you and others have all determined they aren't an existing group and that the player isn't returning.

On console, msg the person becauase the game kicks ppl a lot.

Take two steps back and chill cause most ppl who tell me they can solo dungeons means they aren't playing them how a group would. Some ppl aren't there for fast runs, they are there to be immersed.

Go with the flow. If you want to solo it, do so in manually formed groups

Or they were a group of friends and didn't like that you tried to vote-kick one of them. Honestly we can't possibly know.

My best bet is, that they felt you were in the wrong to start that vote, and therefore reversed it on you.

I did exactly that, just the other day. One of the DPS's was being rude to the Healer for letting him die once. As healer did not respond submissively enough for him, he started a vote to kick the healer. I immediately voted no, and started a vote to kick the rude DPS instead. 2 secs later he was gone, and i had to put another person on ignore list to get rid of that hatewhispers.

If you start a kick-vote, always be ready for it to backfire, unless you have asked clearly in chat first, and know you have backup.

Its because the best mans cousins wifes daughter in law, 3 times removed, forgot to feed the dog.
Alternatively it could be that you wanted to solo the dungeon instead of do it together....as a group...using group finder.

It just happens without reason, I once joined a group, just arriving the starting as everyone else, and I'm a max level healer and they voted to kick me immediately. It happens all the time, without reason.

First off, when PUGing never go and start doing the dungeon before everyone is there and ready. It's incredibly rude because if any of the others haven't yet done the quest for that dungeon on the character they're on, it will usually prevent them from starting the quest. In nCoA in particular it won't prevent them from starting the quest if the only part that you do before everyone gets there is killing the mobs between the entrance and the place where the survivors are making their stand, but if you start pulling the mobs on the way to the lurcher fight you've stopped them from getting the quest. I've been in groups before where some yahoo went running off pulling mobs before everyone was there and ready, and nobody who wanted to do the dungeon quest got to pick it up. It's really annoying.

Second, yeah it was probably because your vote to kick the tank backfired on you.

Once before the vote to kick, when the leader had full kick privileges, I queued for veteran Wayrest Sewers with a guild DPS who wanted the helm, and our usual tank. It used to randomly disconnect someone right in the tunnel leading to the first fight, and our DPS was the unlucky chosen one this time. We set up the chair emoticons to wait.

Game reassigned his crown to the random DPS we picked up in group finder. (The one who started the first fight before our tank could engage. Usually we took the first fight a little slow because sometimes that avoided the disconnect.) Random DPS promptly kicked our friend, so tank and I immediately dropped group. We were here to run it for our DPS friend. If he wasn't in the group, there was no use continuing. Random DPS did the whole "bash" action against thank and I as the timer ticked down to port all of us out of the dungeon. Didn't seem to notice that all three of the people in the group he was assigned were wearing the same guild tabbard.
