Dyes colors need alot of work

Hello everyone,

This has been a problem since they released the Dye Station. It's becoming more of a concern lately with the introduction of "Dye Stamps" worth 200 crowns which are supposed to dye both your costume and your hat in a unique fashion with special dyes. For example, The Dye Stamp "Thalmor : Burning Witches" will dye your costume and hat with "Hundred Pumpkin Orange", "Hundred Pumpkin Orange" and finally "Thalmor Black". The problem is, depending of which hat and which costume you use , the orange will be of 2 different shades, and of course, won't affect your shield and you will be forced to use third variant on your shield aswell. Not even gonna talk about the sword which can't be dyed.

If you are going to sell Dye Stamps in the crown store to dye costumes and hats, make sure that the colors actually match no matter the costume and the hat you decide to use.

I've just tested it on all the costumes I have and all the ones we can have a preview from in the crown store and I cannot find any costume which match with the Hundred Pumpkin Orange on the Rajhin's Cat Mask. The orange is super flashy on the hat and super fade on every single costume.

  • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
  • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
  • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
  • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
  • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
  • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
  • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
  • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
  • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
  • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
  • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
  • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
  • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
  • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
  • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
  • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
  • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
  • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
  • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video
  • Fix loading screens when keeps upgrade
  • Fix Rams going crazy (spinning around)
  • Bring back dynamic ulti regeneration
  • Fix speed bug (abilities locked)
  • Introduce dynamic population
  • Lower population cap by 20%
  • Add Snare Immunity potions
  • Bring resurrection sickness
  • Fix character desync
  • Fix cc breaking bug

    Problem was they did something, early on, that you can't come back from: reassigning the palette after the game launched.

    Many, MANY items' dye slots either don't take dyes or display a color bearing no relation whatsoever to the color of the dye, alas.

    I think you meant by that, something early on they broke that they decided to not invest any more ressources to fix the issue. Which is unacceptable since it is actually being sold in the crown store. Our money should be used for what is advertised. I have been subscribed since the beginning and have accepted to deal with all the problems related to PvP performances. I would gladly appreciate that at least, the dyes advertised in the crown store works properly on the costumes and hats.

    Happy your able to get black early in the game at least. Other games Ive played charged an arm n a leg just for black.

    I love it when people say it cant be changed like its been written in stone when talking about a program. At the very most they sacked the person who made that part of the game and now have no idea how to edit the code again XD

    i would def like to see the colors reworked so that they match across all sets
    this will probably take a ton of work away from other things though...

    I definitely feel that the part of the data structure which controls how something dyes needs to be open to the player and modifiable. I'm so tired of having leather be unable to take a white dye, or for a great-looking outfit to be ruined because some pieces dye matte and others dye incredibly shiny (looking at you, scarecrow mask!!). I'm sure it would be a decent amount of work to change the data structure/move it to a player-accessible interface, but I also think it would be an enormous quality of life improvement. Maybe we can get that when we get weapon dyes?

    While it's annoying the colors look different on different materials. It is realistic though to how it would be. Orange on Leather wouldn't like the same as it does on metal or cloth.
