Skyrim has decent stealth gameplay, unlike ESO, which has just a detection radius and no shadow or obstacle really counts. ESO is shallow compared to Skyrim. ESO is huge and has more content, but more is not always better - in this case it isn't.
Sorry, have to disagree with you here. I find Skyrim a far more shallow experience than ESO. The only thing it does better is the caves and delves (it does have some massive and beautiful Dwemer ruins.) But apart from that ... Ehhhhhh. Don't get me wrong, I spent hundreds and hundreds of hours on Skyrim, and I always love playing through any ES title. They are always wonderful experiences. But the combat is atrocious and floaty, horse riding is weird and feels clunky, and not a lot of the quests are particularly memorable. I think nostalgia goggles have a lot to answer for ...
But the pluses of Skyrim are that the world is quite beautiful, Solstheim was oodles of fun, as I mentioned before - the caves and delves are awesome.
However, different strokes for different folks.
You might be correct with vanilla Skyrim, but I played it with so many mods, that Skyrim became a really demanding survival game to me. The ability to mod Skyrim is just awesome, you do not have to put up with things you do not like, unlike in ESO. And unlike ZOS, Bethesda does not try to rip someone off. At least not yet. I am so disappointed into how ZOS handles ESO. ESO is just a time filler until a real TES game will be released again.
I enjoyed Skyrim on PC. I loved the graphics mods but tried using things that don't impact gameplay too much. Eso got me to put down Skyrim. Played eso on PC and transferred to PS4. Now due to the direction ZOS is going I am returning to Skyrim this time on PS4. Without mods of course because PS4 doesn't really support it.
Well, I read that "live another life"-mod is available with the special edition - try at least that one, it gives you the opportunity to start the game in a different way (the original beginning is an option in it as well). I liked that mod a lot, because you are able to postpone the main story for as long as you want and start in different locations with different starting equipment as well. The main story starts, when you visit Helgen with this mod - it will unlock the "Unbound" quest as soon as you get near to Helgen. I liked the "left for dead" start in a random location. But one can as well start as a property owner and get one of the player houses and start there for example - a good mod.
I have used it on PC. It is on Xbox one. It don't think PS4 can use it. i think it has external assets.

I will never forget when I chose "left for dead" in a random location and I was using the winter edition of Climates of Tamriel together with Frostfall - and guess what?- my random starting location was in the middle between Winterhold and Windhelm, extreme weather conditions and all I got were some rags, nothing else - I had to run like crazy to get to Windhelm, before I would be totally frozen - this was an awesome start, I had to outrun Frost Trolls and bears - and I hardly made it.

Apparently it will be supporting them at some point, they have approval to add mods to both Skyrim (tho just remastered version I think) and Fallout 4 on PS4 and XBox. I believe Fallout is getting them first but I'm super excited as I've only ever played Elder Scrolls games on consoles so never had a chance to mod before!

You got lucky, I once got dropped on somewhere in northwestern Solsteim, needless to say, I didn't make it.

The Draugr in ESO just don't scare me, but the ones in Skyrim freak me out every time! So do the occasional sneaky Saber Cats
Honestly, if you have this there's no reason to play Skyrim. It's all the same concept. Kill this, fetch that, try this on. Same crap, different game.

When I first played this game I played in first person; I think because it was what I was used to from Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim; now though I do third person and first person just doesn't feel right. I'm happy though they added the first person perspective; as honestly it's a must for any Elder Scrolls game.
