I can't find any mention of patch notes for today...
As a result of this issue we are extending the Witches Festival event period until Oct. 7 at 10 AM ET/3PM GMT+1 on the PC/MAC servers.

Hopefully the developers will be able to patch the issue soon. Do you guys have a time frame as to when you might have a fix?
don't worry, they do it with next monday's patch...
timeframe?
09AM = patch
12 AM = patch is almost finished, we're putting some loose ends together
02 PM = "we're looking to end maintenance in nothing more than 1 hour"
03:30 PM = "we've found a little issue regarding this minor patch of OT, we're looking into it.. stay tuned for an update"
03:45 PM = " the issue has been found, plunder skulls were not counting for the achievement; dev's are working for a solution at the moment. We're aiming to bring servers up in nothing less than 2 hours from now"
06 PM = "we're finishing tests now, just have a little more patience pls"
06:30 PM = "servers are about to go live in 10 minutes; download the patch and have a great evening"
07 PM = starting ESO

It isn't really a disadvantage. PC players aren't being rewarded anything either. We're being compensated for our inability to complete the event like console players currently can.
Yes (and no); the fact that the achievement counter is stuck is the bug that will be fixed next week.Tommy_The_Gun wrote: »So it is normal that while I collect Plunder Skulls the achievement stays still ? (currently stuck at 50).
You should keep the progress you have already made.A couple of questions:
1. Will I have to start collecting Plunder Skulls from 0 after hot-fix ? (or I will keep those 50 I have and only have to collet another 50 ? )

I'd agree if they extended the event without the double xp.

Unless the two platforms suddenly become able to compete in PvP or share a trading system, etc, not really. With that logic you could argue console players are at a disadvantage because PC was released long before console was, so we had a lot longer to gather XP. Or that PC players were at a disadvantage during the time that they didn't have controller support... And so on and so forth. There are always going to be differences between the two platforms, and so long as they don't mix/cross over I don't see a problem.
That may even be the plan; they haven't actually specified which parts of the event are being extended. Gina's post suggests it's the whole event, but I think others have said there has been no change in the expiry date for the festival Crown Store items, so something doesn't quite add up.kenjiblaster25 wrote: »Absolutely! Each has their opinion and if PC could finish the Acheivement without the double XP then I'd have no qualms - but it would cost Zenimax nothing to boost to all.Shad0wfire99 wrote: »I'd agree if they extended the event without the double xp.It isn't really a disadvantage. 2. The event is extended by week ( till 8 November). Currently crow store says that 6 days left. Will this be updated and when ?
ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Hi everyone,
After yesterday’s PC maintenance concluded, we ran into an issue where gathering Plunder Skulls for the Witches Festival event was not incrementing your progress toward all Plunder Skull-related achievements including Plunder Skull Enthusiast, Plunder Skull Aficionado, and Plunder Skull Fanatic. While we made an effort to hotfix this today, we found that the fix will instead need to be included in the next PC incremental patch, tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 31.
We understand this greatly impacts your ability to complete these special achievements, which are only available for the duration of the event, and are not able to grant any earned skulls retroactively. Therefore, we’ll be extending the Witches Festival for PC/Mac players by one week so you can complete these achievements, and the event will now end on Tuesday, November 8 at 9:00am ET.
Thanks for your understanding, and enjoy the extended festivities.
Edit: Changed the time from 10am to 9am ET to account for Daylight Savings.

This is hardly an "advantage" and is pretty childish to get upset over. This is usually how compensations goes anyways—which is that it works only for those who actually had the problem.

Everyone has their opinion - you've proved that.
What I've said isn't because I'm upset - who are you?
Qualifying it as "childish" isn't that mature at all.
Just disagree without assuming you know me or the reason for my comment.
