I wonder how many people will be locked out the game tomorrow because they parked their character(s) somewhere like Mournhold. I'll be parking both my toons in a random area. Bad enough getting into Mournhold when there's currently high traffic. Tomorrow is going to be insane.

I enjoyed the banter between factions it was a nice break from the inane wow is the first mmo argument, politics and d measuring via graphics card/ computer set up, that usually plagues zone chat.

Same, even on day 1 it wasnt bad. Occasionally someone will come into zone and say "X is the best" but not very often and no one seems to bait the troll.

I hope that console gets to discover all the wonder of OT without too much of that bs. Honestly, I thought I would hate it but it happens to be one of my favorite things now. The game feels ALIVE!!!

The only way we can tell on PC, is if that character has been to Cyro. Then ofc, their rank icon will be their faction color.

They always call it Patch Maintenance. As it's still a patch of ESO 2.0. The next actual update is ESO 3.0.

..and badmouthing/taunting, I spend most of my time in PvE anyway where people can't hurt me. Besides, giving Text Chat to us Console users was one of THE worst decisions ZOS has made. You give people the ability to communicate over the internet, and especially in a game, and there will be toxic poison.

Imagine you get online, and a friend wants to whisper you to join him/her for a run of a dungeon.

However, the message gets lots, because some person in area chat is spamming every single bound gold item they have.

Console gets 10 lines of text chat before the message disappears. Console cannot tag multiple items in one line. Console cannot add WTS for x along with tagging the item. Imagine that? Console does not have tabs, so you can't filter out area chat or certain spammy guilds.

Toxic is saying something, but not contributing (like posting an item that can't be sold to show off). It's flaming and saying derogatory things. It's hogging up the space with spam so that people cannot communicate.

I think consol has seen it all already . First thing I noticed after leaving ps4 and coming back to PC is how quiet it is and tame . No more music blasting out of no where or gangster rap shout outs in the middle of the forest ...

there will be an icon next to their name regardless id assume in the color of the faction they belong to

Everyone is going to be spamming their BiS shoulder pieces in zone and guild chat, while I'm going to be stuck with my Prosperous Ilambris in heavy and my Training Kra'gh in light. I'm going to be legit quitting the game for a week if that's the case. At least I have my sharpened vMA weapons to counter that a little bit...
Smurfs for life though! And bananas too (a lot of my friends are bananas so yeah...)
