Two vet, two NORMAL (not public, I made a typo boo-boo). I know that I'm low, but CP123ish isn't THAT low and shouldn't warrant the ol' boot out the door, especially for a normal dungeon. It wouldn't grind my gears as much if the queue time wasn't 1+ hours and then pegged with the 15 minute penalty just to rub salt in the wound.

Whyyyy do you do that?! I know why, but WHY!!!!!!! If you're one of those people who do that, I hope your plunder skulls are full of Sweet Sanguine Apples recipes.

It really sucked and my frustration forced me to do something I dislike doing... turning off the console and participating in real world activities. *shudders*

Just grind till cp 200 then things will be fine, its not that hard, before you had to grind to vr16 which was around 300 cp or something before you could access endgame.

How did you get kicked out of a public dungeon? You can't even queue for them. Also if you're getting kicked out of that many dungeons, take a look at your playstyle. I'm not saying you're horrible, but if this happens all the time, you may want to take a look at what you could do to prevent it.

Try to find friends or a guild to run with. It really does help to get out there and meet people with similar playstyles. It opens up the game a lot and allows you to have more fun with less frustration.

I wasn't there with you, but I suppose they had a good reason to do so. Maybe you didn't do enough damage (in case you are a DD) and they didn't want to take forever at completing the dungeon. You can't blame them for that, I think.

I can say very little about the public dungeon kicks, but it must be a similar reason.

Were you already somewhere into the dungeons before the group kicked you or did they kick you right away?

I utterly hate this mentality in game. It's a game! Some players are incredible, unsupportive game snobs and it's appalling. My only advice to is find a guild or two who support lower level players and enjoy the game for what it is.

If you're on PC or Mac, EU, then we'd be happy to have you in Lone Star Mercantile of the Band of Daggers - both of which guilds are full of players having some fund, snobbery not included. Just /w me in game - @agelonestar

The ironic thing is I pugged all weekend with a new alt and all the groups of lvl 10-30 people I played with were superb. Then this morning I put my main (CP320) into a pug and the 400CP tank was useless, despite him previously saying he hoped he did not end up with a low lvl healer from the Finder.

CP is a completely unreliable measure of ability but people do seem to swear by it.

Sorry to hear about this. This used to happen to me in the early days of the game. I recommend that you get involved in a guild/s that is fairly active. This way you can learn the content and also gain CP. A question though... Are you being kicked immediately or because don't know the dungeon or not able to play your role well?? (not applicable to public dungeons) Just a question but if its either then saying something to the group up front will often end up in them teaching you and this is a great way to build a friends list of good people and improve your play style

glad you said console so that wasnt me. i was forced to kick a few dps in a vet dungeon, coz we wouldnt be able to finish the last boss otherwise.

it might have been tank problem or healer problem, but it was dps getting kicked since they are easier to replace.

why dont you wait until cp160 to do vet dungeon anyway? you wont be able to use the loots since you'll out level them in one or two days?

Depends when and why you were kicked:
    - you were kicked before you actually had any chance to play, in this case maybe the people didn't like certain setups, for example if you are a sorcerer, queued as healer and both DDs were stamina. No shards and repentance makes sustain really hard. Not all group setups are ideal, or even workable in some dungeons. And the CP itself might have been the problem if you queued for a DLC veteran dungeon. The mechanics are really unforgiving there.
    - you were kicked after you went in dungeon, maybe the first trash packs and bosses, because you weren't doing what you were supposed to do, for example not grabbing aggro, debuffing and CC-ing as a tank, not healing or healing badly (spamming BoL) as a healer, or not having enough DPS as a DD, so the group got overwhelmed.

"I got kicked" simply says nothing in itself.

This is the important part. A game is supposed to be fun. In a case where someone gets kicked from a grp he or she basically prevents others from having fun.

The simple logic is here: Three people having fun is of higher priority than one person.

Especially people with other obligations might not have the time to teach new players mechanics of every bossfight or give them multiple tries before completion.

    The dungeon finder needs fixed.

Im a very patient / helpful player and a few days ago I was put in a group with 3 other players who all had CP under 80 ... and the dungeon was City of Ash.

    Now THAT was painful.

Im a tank with 531 CP.

Trust me .... I tried ... and I tried ... and I tried ... then you get to that point ....

I dont blame the players - its the finder that needs tweaked.

It happened to me also last week, while I am CP 350. Before it happened the leader just said: `we shall regroup now`. Directly after that I was out of the group and saw in chat that they were lf a new DD. It really hurted me to be treated so unrespectfully.

People now want higher cp for vet. I've noticed a trend toward this when I was doing vet randoms. I'm not sure what the magic number is but I think 160cp is what I was told for vet even though we are allowed to go in at level 50 IIRC. Try normal until then. They'll be fixed after the patch and easier, quicker and still giving the same bonus which will get to you 160, then try vet again.

Jokes aside, i had issues last night in normal Fungal Grotto 2 on the second boss. Why? If i go chained down, it was a wipe. 1 non-50 and 2 under 100cp. This is why people get kicked.

Ooooops, sorry I worded that wrong, I actually meant NORMAL dungeons not Public. May bad, guys!

I'm actually really good at dungeons, I use both duel wield & destruction staff (for that ranged weapon goodness) but I'm just being kicked out within 10 seconds of transporting there. I know it's because I'm lower than them, but it's not fair. I wasn't huge into dungeons until the witches festival started, it's the easiest and funnest way to get a bunch of guaranteed plunder skulls imo. I think when the festival is over it won't be so bad but yeah. I'm just gonna suck it up and stop whinging haha

It's a genuine issue, but the Finder should be more helpful. One the one hand it encourages people of all levels to play random normals with enhanced XP etc., but the reality is those 'II' dungeons are not suited to low level chars, they are the old vets after all.

I was playing a lot of PUGs last night while levelling an alt, and was careful to only select in the Finder those dungeons I knew I could compete in. I met some people in FG1, maybe lvl 21-30 odd, and they said could we do another once we completed FG1. I suggested Spindle1/Wayrest1/Elden1 and ported right there, but they refused, saying they wanted to use the Finder for random normals to get the XP reward. I said that they're just going to die if they get a 'normal' II-level pop, we need to be selective. They refused, sure enough we get FG2 and they die and leave frustrated.

Not their fault at all, they have a legitimate expectation they can complete what the Finder gives them, or that the Finder provides some guidance on levels etc.

To me the biggest issue is the dungeon itself. There are some vet dungeons, especially the DLC ones, that just will take too long with a low geared, low CP player.

I also think that player below 160 should not necessarily do vet dungeons as the gear that they get will be useless when they reach 160 or even level up. Get to learn the mechanics on the normal versions of each dungeon and then if you really need purple gear, improve it yourself. The procs from monster helms are not something you should rely on for playing skill anyway.

The best for low level players to do is to do dungeons with their guilds. I have yet to see a guild kicking a fellow 'guildee' from a group. Another thing you can do is find a group of 3 other people who are on at the same time as you and grind the dungeons with them.

It's no fun for anyone to do vICP for 2 to 3 hours, because the players are just too low level. Rather all run the normal version to get to know it.

The only time I've spent AGES in a dungeon is when a a CP400+ healer couldn't get their *** together and heal people while fighting that lava pissing Flesh Atronach in the vaults of madness. Or that time when the CP200+ khajiit kept stuffing around every single room looking for....idk?! But the rest of us had a good band jam after every boss fight while waiting for him to catch up. Every other time we fly through the dungeon with ease no matter how low or high....

True. Or make them move on by having each boss only drop one skull once per day.

That has been happening for ages, just became worse since One Tamriel because they are farmed for set gear, but during the festival the cancer has metastasized. You can enter a public dungeon and see a bunch of players there, with everything dead. Because those bosses, unlike the overland ones, haven't been buffed. They are extremely easy to solo - was doing them in Cadwell's Gold areas (already scaled to CP160) on my alts still wearing level 44 gear and only the health buff from crusty bread found everywhere. An even better and more consistent solution is to buff them to the same level as the group bosses. Few players will be able to kill them in seconds, and more will have to gather before they attempt to attack the boss. Thus more will get the achievements and drops.
