I've been kicked out of 4 groups today. Four!

I've been doing a ton of dungeons on normal with my max level healer and have never moved to kick anyone unless they are LD for a long time. I know that when I port into WGT with a level 10 and a few in their teens, we may not complete the dungeon. However I do try with any group. As long as they have a good attitude and want to learn, I'm happy. Yesterday I spent an hour or so with a very low level group in WGT and they played fantastically, not having many of their skills unlocked. I had quite a bit of fun and added a few to my friends list. We had to give up eventually but we did get 3 bosses down. It was fun and they felt a big sense of accomplishment.

I do think that folks who kick others before even starting really suck. Even more frustrating is eating the 15 minute timer. Yesterday one of my groups was immediately disbanded before even starting and there I sat with a timer. If I knew who disbanded the group immediately, I think I would have reported them. As a minimum, the kicked person should not have a penalty.

I'm actually really good at dungeons, I use both duel wield & destruction staff (for that ranged weapon goodness)

Am I the first to notice something odd in this comment? ...You said "I use both duel wield & destruction staff". That's not a thing.

I'll put a disclaimer here: Sure, this is one of those games wherein you CAN do whatever you want, build wise, but only certain setups are viable.

Splitting your damage/weapons between two entirely different resource pools is NOT viable, for anything. You're trying to use a skill/ability line which scales off stamina, AND another weapon line which scales off magica. You mentioned "for ranged weapon goodness", if you want ranged and are stamina-based, you're going to want to go for a bow, not staff. If on the other hand, your character has all it's points into magica, then go with class abilities and/or a staff.

How is your character set up? (gear, specific weapons, sets, attributes, etc) and what is your dps bar rotation (assuming you're buffing yourself on your back bar mostly)

Perhaps the most wrong thing posted on the forums ever, This is part of the problem, too many "experts" who do not have a clue.

I don't think people should be using the group finder like it's fekkin Tinder or something. I don't just ninja kick people. I always give people a chance but I will leave groups if it looks like it's just going to be a huge time sink ending up with people rage quitting. Just last night I was in a group with a very low cp healer in a vet dungeon. We had some deaths but we managed and had fun. I've done normal DLC dungeons with people leveled in their teens. It was tough but we had fun.

I've been in groups though with people in mid range cp and they were terrible. If we're wiping on trash mobs then I politely excuse myself and leave so they can fill the position with someone else.

I do feel like it's a little selfish for people to queue up for something that is more than likely going to be way beyond their abilities. This is an extreme case but what if you ended up with a group member for vet Ruins of Maz that is cp1. Really? Now you're just wasting everyone's time.

The ironic thing is I pugged all weekend with a new alt and all the groups of lvl 10-30 people I played with were superb. Then this morning I put my main (CP320) into a pug and the 400CP tank was useless, despite him previously saying he hoped he did not end up with a low lvl healer from the Finder.

CP is a completely unreliable measure of ability but people do seem to swear by it.

Probably the best thing said on this entire forum. Skill over cp. IF you have the skill cp shouldn't matter imo. It helps but what helps most is being a competent player.

Yeah this is true. When the last new dungeons came out, most of the time the group leader just started kicking low cp players. They aren't hard on normal if they can follow directions. Give them a chance.

The only time I got really pissed off is when the dungeon was reset to level 35 enemies. I am running for the sets, it messes that up so I quit.

Right-o buddy, I don't get why you're calling me a d-bag when you're the one coming across that way. Or a he. I'm a woman, damnit! Anyway, as I said previously I've never experienced being in a dungeon for longer than 30-40 minutes. Usually it's 15-25 minutes. If you're spending longer than that in a dungeon either you suck too or just *** move on from it. Plus if you're that uptight about how *** somone's build is why bother using the group finder when you 100% KNOW that you're probably going to be matched with someone who has no idea how to make the perfect build lol
Been through a heap of times lately with heaps of lower levels which has been pretty fun so meh, not an issue anymore. Getting kicked only started happening as soon as the witches festival began but hasn't happened since.

Man, why am I even bothering replying anymore hahaha I'm officially done and dusted with this thread. Thanks for the feedback y'all. Appreciated.

So? You are sexless for me, you are just your name, profile pic and posts. Woman or not, you can still be a d-bag. It's not about who's coming across like that. It's about substance, not the form. What you'r esaying, not how you're saying it.

And what you're saying simply shows your entitled attitude. No one is obligated to not kick you from a dungeon. Maybe they own't kick you another time. But don't expect to go there in your special snowflake solo hybrid build and get carried. It might happen or might not.

Why using a group finder? Because it saves time of course. You can play while it's doing its work. You can go do dailies, you can go fish for an achievement, you can grind anchors, and ONLY go to a dungeon when you are satisfied with a group. And obviously I have the same question to you? Why bother using group finder if you 100% know that you will be matched with someone who might want to kick you? It's a normal curve, and even though sometimes you get people who are on extreme ends, mostly you get people who can get the job done and don't run useless builds.

If anything, I don't even think they kicked you. Maybe a leader was troll and would just disband group to give everyone that 15min debuff. And yes, I ran dungeons with low levels too and as a low level myself too. I've never ever seen people kick anyone except for once when this guy went offline in the end but we all wanted to queue for another dungeon.

Yesterday made me hate high CP noobs even more. I struggled with a group trough VDSK2 because they were endlessly kiting Grobul (netch) adds, and using single target DPS skills on them. Force pulse on a pack of 10-15, while kiting them away from their own elemental blockade & liquid lightning and my endless hail and acid spray - I had changed to DD for that fight because tanking is useless there and because I saw how bad their DPS was. That happened with 2 separate groups. One of them even had a 561+ CP "DD" MagDK fully clad in heavy armor. Needless to say he hit like a wet noodle. We wiped like 3 times to the little netches. I found another group that hoped to run VRoM but we first tried VDSK2 to see how it goes. They wiped to the 1st boss, the one that spins that flame around because they stayed in AoE. All 3 of them, I was the last one standing and I was tanking him. I reran the dungeon with some friends later and barely noticed that fight because it was so damn quick and easy. I skipped VRoM because I couldn't find a group for that and was 2am already. After such experiences my tolerance to scrubs is irreversibly decreased. Call me "elitist" but I don't want to spend 2 hours in a simple dungeon, and wipe 3 times to trash because the others play like crap despite their high CP count.

Two vet, two NORMAL (not public, I made a typo boo-boo). I know that I'm low, but CP123ish isn't THAT low and shouldn't warrant the ol' boot out the door, especially for a normal dungeon. It wouldn't grind my gears as much if the queue time wasn't 1+ hours and then pegged with the 15 minute penalty just to rub salt in the wound.

Whyyyy do you do that?! I know why, but WHY!!!!!!! If you're one of those people who do that, I hope your plunder skulls are full of Sweet Sanguine Apples recipes.

It really sucked and my frustration forced me to do something I dislike doing... turning off the console and participating in real world activities. *shudders*

CP doesnt really say anything else than "possible to do more DPS if higher". At least that's how I see it.

when I see a <160 dps join I just know I'm gonna have to do most of the work. But I never kick them. I think everyone deserves to have a try and get experienced at doing vet dungeons.

They usually realize that I'm doing all the damage and some are grateful for being allowed to run along. That gratefulness is worth more to me than the couple less minutes it takes running with another skilled dps.

As for OP. Bad luck I guess... sounds more like you just needed to vent here :p as you say you're skilled enough and feeling confident. You just ran into a couple of egocentric a**holes.
