The cheapest laptop to run EVERYTHING at the lowest settings.

bigmanebiggu
By lowest I am not over exaggerating, I mean everything down to the bottom. As long as it runs minimum 25fps I am not bothered. Anyone got any recommended ones? i'm looking to spend no more than £120.

    From the store page:

    PC MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

    Operating System: Windows 7 32-bit
Processor: Intel® i3 or AMD 3870 generation processors or higher
    Memory: 3GB System RAM
Hard Disk Space: 85GB free HDD space
    Video Card: DirectX 11.0 compliant video card with 1GB of RAM (NVIDIA® GeForce® 460 / AMD Radeon™ 6850)
    Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
    Internet Broadband Connection

You might be able to get away with less RAM, possibly a slower CPU, but you'll need a DirectX compatible card and the 85GB of space, so about 120GB HDD if you don't use it for anything but the game.

Not sure you could get one for 125ukp but my friend runs it at lowest settings on an Asus N56VM with 16GB RAM, an SSD (not essential but always nice to have), with a Core i7 3610QM and GT630.

Not sure how much you can pick one of those up for secondhand, but by today's standards it's nothing special.

Main issue is the game is CPU bound and laptops always have weaker CPUs compared to desktops, due to heat and power constraints.

If you want to do PvP you have to have a high end rig or you will encounter massive fps drops. But nevermind, even with high end rigs you will still drop to 10-20 fps in prime time.

No... that has integrated graphics, the CPU isn't good enough to do PVP/Trials either.

    You're better off getting a I5 6600k with R9 380 custom build.

I don't care if I am running at 30fps on low-mid, don't really care about 'healthy' gaming

Considering my old 2013 macbook air could do what you ask, something with similar specs should be fine and probably pretty cheap in 2016.

I think there's no way in hell you're gonna get this game running on a laptop with not spending more than £120

I don't think you should even want to run this game on lowest. Ever.

So many pieces of misinformation in the above post that the OP should ignore.

    ESO is DX11.

And there is no way you *need* a Skylake CPU. Until I put Broadwell-E in my main PC, I was running on Ivybridge, my other PC runs it on Haswell with a GTX780 3GB at a high FPS. You don't really need an SSD for 'healthy gaming', it's just a nice to have.

The poster is on a budget, false information will not help him.

Nonetheless OP, I think you will really struggle with your budget.

Eeehh stay away from minimum requirements, they just indicate what can start up the game - not play it and certainly not with 25fps.

The problem with laptops is that each new DLC update will make it less playable. My newest laptop cost me over £850 and it still runs 3-10 fps in dungeons like Imperial City Prison on minimum settings (even resolution).

Laptops are weaker compared to desktops and eso demands powerful processor so you need a good laptop. If you run this game @30 FPS on low settings in open world you will get 1 FPS in cyordiil.

I have self built desktop PC with i5 3,6 ghz 8gb ram and new radeon RX480 8gb graphic card i get 60 fps everywhere but in cyrodiil while fighting in a crowd my fps drops to 20-25.

My advice save up more and buy a decent laptop optimized for gaming otherwise you will waste your money.

And skyrim is 6 years old game

ESO is more challenging than Skyrim, for a variety of reasons.

I'd be sceptical that the HD4000 integrated graphics can perform with ESO, it's certainly below their minimum recommended spec.

People are listening to your requirement re. lowest settings etc. It's just that we know from experience that the Intel on-die graphics are very weak.

    e.g., http://technewspedia.com/intel-hd-graphics-4000-vs-nvidia-geforce-gt-630/

The GT630 is just passable in lowest settings, the HD4000 is half that performance, plus the HD4000 will eat into system RAM as it has none of its own.

By all means try it out if you have the opportunity, but I'd be wary of making a purchase on chance, unless you can return it.

AT EVERYTHING THE LOWEST which is what some people just aren't getting

What you don't seem to get is this game is terribly optimized.

Listen, I played on a laptop with an AMD APU since beta/launch for 3 months, and once the game dropped sub fee. I had my settings to the lowest possible, even had texture quality BELOW the lowest given settings, and I turned off all extra stuff and in PVP I would even turn spells off (no longer can do).

Once update 1.6 dropped, I was unable to load any objects and the game would go into infinite load screens, nothing I did would resolve the problem.

You can buy a laptop and expect this game to run at 15 fps in general, but you wont be playing trials/PVP without freezing for several seconds everytime everyone does an ability at once, which is all the time in those two.

We're just trying to save you from wasting your money, a computer is an investment. It is going to be a valued asset, it may not come close to your car, house, whatever but it's up there.

tell me that won't run it

It wont run it the way you expect it to run. The only thing you'll be able to do is walking around (not running) in empty zones. You'll probably be hit with load screens every 5 seconds as well. The fact the GPU is integrated and it's intel means it's not going to even be able to play the original elder scroll games which are much less demanding than this one.

Please, don't waste your money because you're hard headed. Google computer shops around your area, go get someone to build you a 400-800 dollar PC. If you don't got the money then wait a few weeks and save it up. As I said in my previous post, this is an investment. Else you could buy a console but this game isn't meant for console imo. It even lags on that hardware so rip.

Here's the problem with your idea. People play games to have fun. In ESO if you PVP you WILL NOT have fun with 25 FPS. With that low FPS the game will not run anywhere near where you'd have an enjoyable gaming experience. If your serious about wanting to play games, you should try to invest more than you are. In US Funds that's around $200 and for a gaming laptop IMO it just ins't a good deal.

Every patch that ZOS puts out on this game taxes your system greater than before. So eventually and more than likely really soon, you won't even be able to get 25 FPS on all low settings with a system like that.
