Hard Cap discussion

I want to know what is the Hard CAP for :
Physical res
Spell Res
Poison,Cold,Fire,Desease res
Critical res

I think the max mitigation for physical and spell res is 50% around 34k but I have a question
If I RUN 40k physical and spell resists , will I negate the Sharpened traits on the enemy weapons or it will just count my Resistance Value to 29k instead of 35k ?
I also have almost 5k crit resist on my stemplar and I think I have overstacked it .

Armor and I think resistances in general cap at 33k = 50% mitigation.

Going over the cap is useless unless your resistances are being debuffed in which case the adjustments are before the armor cap. If you can keep your resistances 33k before the cap is applied you retain the 50% mitigation. If you have high crit resistance you can negate crit damage and then reduce the base damage remaining by half.

Yep, this is also 50% crit damage reduction.

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

Slightly out of date cause it still contains Armor of Construct on the list and a few other things but I will be fixing that soon. And as I have said in another thread, I have just recently tested crit resist and its 67 crit resist = 1% and there is no hard cap, I claimed before that it was 66 per % but upon further testing its closer to 67. Its hard to test cause ESO's math is without decimal numbers and if you just use a calculator you will still get decimals which slightly changes the outcome.

Anyway so I had me and my friend take of all of our skills and CP and with no armor. She hit me with a Snipe and we saw what dmg it dealt and what its crit were. I then put on 100p into Resistant which from I just noticed from finally getting to test it on live is now 1699 and not a % like on PTS, my mistake there, its still slightly higher than the old 25% that it used to say, sitting at around 25.35%. But so obviously the crit got reduced as expected. What is interesting is what happened when I put on full impen armor and shield all purple at cp 160. It made it so that even thou it said she crit, it did not do any more damage, this is cause my total crit resistance was 3691 or ~55.089%. So with just the base 50% crit damage it took it all away. We then gave her 100p into precise strikes and saw what happened. It gave her 25% more crit damage, so if there was a crit resist cap it should have done exactly 25% more damage, but cause I had 55% crit resist she only did 20% more damage. Showing that there is indeed no crit resistance cap, at least not at 50%. And really there is no need to have a cap.

Transmutation gives you 1304 crit resist, CP gives a max of 1699, and impen armor gives you 258 per armor piece to a max of 2064. Combine it all and its 5067 or ~75.62%. But lets see what we can do to up crit damage: base is 50%, Minor Force 12%, Major Force 30%, CP 25% and then a few things specific to if you are doing it from stealth but even if we disregard those we got enough to get up to 117% extra damage. And if we fought someone with max crit resist we would still crit for 42%, thou of course Major Force isn't the easiest to keep up. Nonetheless you won't often fight someone with that much crit resist.

If you want I can in more detail explain how I did the test and who ever wants to double check can.
