I would be nice if people who spend most of their time in Cyrodil fighting for their cause were to be able to participate in the seasonal event a bit. Maybe just include something in the rewards mail like "Thanks for your service. Here's some of the plunder that we've been fighting for elsewhere."

Make it so they need to at least complete the initial quest first, that's fine.

or even better, successful attacks and defences reward one.

Sorry but if you want PvP rewards, motifs, etc, you need to PvP. Same hold true if you want PvE rewards, you need to PvE. I like PvE better then PvP, but do PvP because I want the skill lines, armor sets, motifs, etc.

Awesome idea. I was trying to think of a way for pvpers to get them, but most could be exploited by working with the enemy. This is a great idea.

Well it's not like we'll ever get a PvP event, so it would be nice if they'd at least TRY to get everyone involved.

PvP mains already need to do a fair amount of PvE (a lot of PvE) to gear up for PvP. The PvP sets already available, outside of Black Rose, are terrible, but that's a whole other discussion.

I don't see the harm in getting PvP players more involved. They could have even decorated up keeps. PvP players are used to being treated like second-class citizens at this point though...

When they make it so we can gain alliance skills without pvp'ing... then pvp can have some pve things thrown at them.

i've hated every minute of cyrodil that i've had to play... just to get the skills for pve. but i still do it because i have to.

ps... pvp already gets the monster set vendor... and the overland dungeon jewelry from the vendor.

My whole point is that this doesn't (or didn't) need to be a PvE-exclusive event. They very easily could have included Cyrodil in the event.

Once a week now PvP gets the opportunity to use that useless AP for buying and reselling potentially lucrative gold jewelry.

Everything that drops from the plunder skulls can be traded or sold so there's nothing stopping you from going to a guild trader and using that money from gold jewelry to buy the whole motif set.

PvP is second fiddle most of the time, but they're making active changes so you're not left behind as much now.

the thing i absolutely agree with changing... is to make the whistle work in cyrodil... there's no reason it shouldn't if you went to do the quest

Why do you need a "PVP Event".... The game now has dueling which can be done anywhere at anytime with anyone who accepts. You can also log into Cyrodil and PVP anytime you want.

I do both PVE and PVP and at times enjoy each one over the other depending on mood.

All you have to do is a few things in PVE to get the skulls. They are easy to get. If you don't want to farm the recipes/motifs then buy them. Tons of people are selling them. I had learned the Hallowjack Motif 10 minutes after logging on before even using the Crow Caller. There's so many people spamming them you can get the whole book for 50k or less.

I doubt there will EVER be a PVP holiday event since it can be done all day, every day.

This isn't a "Wahhhh us PvPers get the short end of the stick" thread. Just a "The more widespread this event is the better" thread.

I've already spent a lot of time farming dolmens, world bosses, dungeons, etc. for skulls and have had a blast. This is just a request to extend the event for more people to be able to participate without drastically changing how they play the game normally.

For PvP you can add extra flavor by having enemy themed plunder skulls:
If you are EP you receive either cat or orc skull
If you are AD you receive either orc or lizard skull
If you are DC you receive either cat or lizard skull

I would love that as I enjoy PVPing as well so I win no matter how the events are put into the game.

What ZOS should do for future events is to have them themed for both PVP and PVE. That way people can enjoy doing what they love most about the game. As @Asardes mentioned, Zos could have setup different skulls for PVP with different ways to collect them with about the same ease as you can in PVE. The original method to get the buff to obtain the skulls would have been the same, only the method receiving them would have been different.

This is just another example of poor planning on ZOS' part to roll out events for one style of game play knowing full well that there would be people requesting it for their preferred method.

ZOS would have a much happier player base if they would just implement things for both styles of gameplay at the same time.
Maybe one of these days they will actually realize that....but again...it's doubtful....

You are saying pvp is a limited time holiday festival?

The rage on these forums would be unfathomable if there was a holiday event in Cyrodiil only. Its ok for pvp players to stop what they normally do to participate in the Witches festival but Divines forbid if pve players had to come to Cryodiil and pvp for one.

There should have been ways to participate and still do what you enjoy doing.

If they allowed them to drop from dark anchors and delve bosses in Cyrodiil it'd benefit everyone with a nice compromise.

PvErs could get them somewhere different. PvPers could get them where they spend most of their time. PvErs would run the risk of getting ganked/swarmed before they could loot. PvPers/gankers could have fun waiting in stealth at dolmens for the prime opportunity to strike. Things could be similar to IC but without the downsides and miserable atmosphere.

Imagine the rage if there was a Cyrodil-only event, with motifs, achievements, and a title. And you HAD to come to Cyrodil to get everything done.
TBH there is this kind of event going on. Its called PVP- with cool motif, achievments and titles, and u have to come to Cyrodil to get it done.
    Just saying ;)

You are saying pvp is a limited time holiday festival?

The rage on these forums would be unfathomable if there was a holiday event in Cyrodiil only. Its ok for pvp players to stop what they normally do to participate in the Witches festival but Divines forbid if pve players had to come to Cryodiil and pvp for one.

There should have been ways to participate and still do what you enjoy doing.

This isn't exactly a two sided coin. pve and pvp are not half and half for this game.
If you want a reference to the pve - pvp relationship... pve is the pocket and pvp is the coin.

pvp is under the umbrella of pve. Elder scrolls has ALWAYS been about pve and RP and thats what most of the player base works on.

Can't you just go to a Cyro Delve and kill the bosses? Most PvPers do that anyway for the AP increase I thought??

I have been playing since Arena. This is the first Elder Scrolls mmo. Both portions should be treated equally. I will say it again

Especially considering that the marketing campaign pre-launch, and the game at launch was HEAVILY centered around the 3-faction war and PVP.
