RNG has never been kind to me in 2 years, I still have no master lightning staff after 2 years and I had to buy my molag kena helmet when this golden merchant came out, nothing in 70 wgt runs.

But yesterday, I was very lucky. I wasn't really farming for the skulls and had plenty of golden stuff in it that I could sell and almost completed this motif achievement even and my 2nd run of maelstrom arena already gave me my desired staff.

I think he means hats, ie the pumpkin / scarecrow ones

Was in TS with 3-4 friends. As one of them pointed out, this is the least stressful MMO experience over an evening any of us had had in several years

We ground out 2 full set of motifs, all the recipes and I got a Skelli Hat. Most importantly, we had a right laugh on TS doing it

So in that respect, and absolute success

I got the hallowjack head motif and OMG I love these masks, forget the rare ones hallowjack gear is a winner.
And to anyone considering buying the grim harlequin motif... do it! Its awesome.
I just wish i could dye weapons and name gear tho (sorry to go abit of topic there)

Too bad, there are barely any usefull craftable sets to use these styles on.
We have received so many potent dropped sets, that completely outshine all craftable sets.

They need to realize, that they also need to add strong craftable sets when they want to sell such stuff on the crown store.

Even though my rng sucked huge somethings, I still had fun running around with my guild having a good time in mumble, maybe today the gods of rng will smile on me with something nice, other than a green recipe.

Same here. Almost finishing my second motif set, too (my crafter and the character I want to use the title of the achievement on are not the same character).

I voted yes but that's not entirely true. I'm stoked for all the new stuff, but sorely disappointed with the method of obtaining said stuff. I like the idea of the skull loot boxes, but I don't like having to camp a delve boss with 85 other people. There should be other ways to obtain the skulls, not just by delve camping.

Dolmen, World and Dungeon/Trial bosses drop it too. Also, you can run nMA and get one for each stage (at least I got one for each stage).

I even had one of those random mini dolmen things that spawn drop for me as I was on my way between delves.

I really enjoyed it! I had been meaning to go around the Cadwell's silver and gold zones to collect all of the delve skyshards for months and this finally gave me the incentive to do so. With the help of 3 or 4 guild mates to trade with, it only took us around 4 hours to each acquire the entire hollowjack motif though, so I imagine there will be a massive drop off in interest from the vast majority of players by the end of the weekend.

Despite the insane lag that seemed to be caused by having so many people running around the overworld on the PS4 EU server, and the fact it was so quick to complete, it was refreshing to do something different and it felt like it was worthwhile, getting a complete (pretty decent looking) crafting style for free, on top of a decent evenings gaming. Definitely beats sinking months (and 10k gold per motif, plus the dozens of duplicates) into trying to get the glass style.

oh no way! I knew about maelstrom cuz I was doing that for a bit last night, but didn't know about dolmens. thanks for the tip!

I choose that option because I have to work daily and makes me mad to see other people already got all the motif pages, every new recipe and gold items in just one day. At the moment I have just got 1 page from 4 toons in the little time I have to play in the nights. However, I really liked the 100% xp buffs.
