Well said, and so is everything else in between.lordrichter wrote:Personally, I view the benefit of being able to sit in the family room and play ESO on the TV to be offset by having to deal with Microsoft and Sony in everything else about the game.

It's been an uneasy relationship for me too, so much so that i'm moving to PC soon. And for what it's worth, @D3x, I think you're entitled to be a little bit salty
Well ZOS is actually biased towards consoles, not PC. If this game would not be required to run on consoles, the whole engine would be much faster, the graphics nicer, the handling better etc...
Sadly there are many people out there who want to play on their TV and dont know how to get a controler to work with their PC or connect TV and PC. So we probably will have to deal with games that need to be crippled for consoles in the future as well

/cough what a load of BS!!
The game came out on PC.. guess what the graphics were made for and only for PC.. it wasn't until the PC crowed failed at supporting the game that Zenimax had to resort to non subscription business model and open it up to the console market...

False!
The game was originally supposed to come out for PC and console at roughly the same time, and they realized what they had for console did not meet their expectations shortly before launch, and delayed the console version by about a year to make it better.http://tamrielfoundry.com/2013/06/e3-announcement-consoles/We’re very excited to announce that ESO is coming to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in addition to the PC and Mac.
