Bullying In ESO

How do we stop this from happening, and why is it not in the report system.

I was extremely disturbed bye a video that recently revealed on YouTube. I feel its only getting worse, i am a grown man and words from kids dont really bother me because it shows thier ignorance.

But what really concerns me is the amount of bullying that is going on in the game. I understand kids will be kids, but theirs no reaaon to tell others to drink bleach, kill yourself, its only a matter of time before this gets worse and ZOS has to get this corrected and straightend out before we see Eso's first bullying death.

Please do something about this and if we can potentially help this before it gets out of control we can save 1 or 2 or 3,4,5 etc. If you look on YT you'll find it.

Very shocking... and sad make me feel upset, this is a video game. People are supposed to have fun playing.

This is a legit problem in all the gaming comunity (I thought the pc community would be more mature but its not)
unfortunatly if Ive learnt anything with my brief time in multiplayer games is that it will never stop.
If someone were to get banned, that person wouldnt be able to pay for crown crates now would he?
on a serious note I myself have never been bullied(In game). Ive had peaple call me nasty names but never "hey that person is online lets spam kill yourself in his mailbox".Its still frustrating trying to play a game for fun and have that one dude tell you to drink bleach cause you beat him.

Same here i agree, but I kid gets bullied in ESO that has mental issues. And eso helps him desolve alot of pressure in his/her world. Now giving the fact that bullying is a life lessons, and i had to go through it in 5th,6th,7th and that was it. Doesnt mean this doesn't cause real mental issues later on in life if not addressed.

As the business portion i child, kid desides to actually drink bleach and kill themselfs. And leaves a video on YT of whats happening and nothing being done about it. Now understand everybody is about there money, but once that shhh goes public of what pushed him over the limit and there was nothing done about it. Besides a small post asking to maybe look into some rules changes in the for bullying. How does that look on the company ?

Not too be biased,but from what I saw in the video is tragic pvp+console. He started off trying to be valiant and went to cyrodiil expecting the same kind of game. Getting griefed in pvp will happen,the one time he played audio of the accused it was so incoherent,I can't make any judgement. Personally,when I login to any game,unless I've met you in person, your a stranger and just another player.whatever is said or done,will never be taken anymore than casually and dismissed as soon as I log out.I would suggest to the guy who made the video,move on man,for every person you report or call out another takes his place.let karma do her job.

Or maybe im just blowing this out of proportion, but if it happens and i really hope not. I tried to make awareness to this growing issue in gaming. Not just eso and something should be done.

I can see that and your doing the right thing,and it's a grey area.it's like defining harrassment, and you really can't. The video did pretty much it's job.

I haven't actually experienced this myself yet, but if someone sends you these messages, screenshot them en send them to zos in a report. Hopefully they can do something about it.

The only way to deal with bullies is with the biggest hammer available, if they enjoy eso then strip their access to it, not for a few days but forever! Scum like this have left me with a legacy of anxiety and other mental health issues that I will never be completely free from. You have to use force, there is no other way

I am very worried about this. Especially now. I didn't know people ae bulling others. Especially in the very game who we are suppose to enjoy, have fun and make everlasting memorable memories. That was fun for everyone to enjoy and hang out. No matter which alliance we serve.

This hurts me to hear that bullying is indeed going on. It is unacceptable. I for one will not tolerate. Especially for someone whom I know who committed sucide from being bullied.

This is awful. I hope bulling will stop. But I fear it not the case. That bulling will not cease especially in the game that I love and or anywhere else for that matter. But continues to spread like a uncurable virus.

Why can't we all just get along? Are we not humans after all? We should love all. Hate no one. Please stop bulling. It is totaly wrong and unjust.

However please report to ZOS if you see any bulling and such. I however believe also. Of giving others many chances. But I really hope bulling stops.

I only really experienced this two times. But I can see how it can be troubling. Sometimes you have to go a little bit beyond ignoring, and report.

Once I was in a dungeon, and two guys were following me around making fun of my gear, and telling me I should just take it off because that would be more entertaining. I was playing a female character and didn't say anything for a long time. Then I spoke, and they said I was a weirdo and breaking the rules playing a female character. They were claiming they were submitting multiple reports because I was OP. I was a little for the zone because I was going back to finish things, but so what.

I just reported the harassment and moved on.

The other time wasn't really bullying, it was just a few guys running around Auridon asking people to sign a petition to ZOS, to allow cooking minorities in the city forge. Rather sick.

Voice Chat may be different, but I rarely see any bullying or even any real trash talk in Text Chat on the PC. I do remember one guy being called an Idiot because he was convinced that if you leave the Dolmen Pinions up that you get a General so he would let people die that tried to close pins early. Zone chat dumped all over him for that. But, I also think he had it coming based on how he was boasting about this. However, for the most part, Zone Text Chat is innocuous and harmless, if not boring.

It maybe because Text Chat is so easily report-able, and the logs stick around long enough for someone to look it up and see what the complaint is about.

Honestly, I don't think there's a way to stop it since ZoS stopped coming into the game as gamemasters. I have to admit, from when I joined to now, the game's gotten incredibly more toxic. Especially in PvP. And most of those are never coming off there, you still can have them interact with you. The report system in regards to this is a joke and I come here to have fun. Not to hear someone flaunt their ego about in a video game.

People saying move on, ignore it, and crap like that; That's not a solution and it makes the problem worse. If I see it, I'll report it. And I'll follow up on the report with screenshots and chat logs. OP, I encourage you to do the same.
