Stamina, speed or inventory space. What do you do first?

I decided to make a new character. In my other characters I always gone for Inventory space when training mounts. The more the better since I love collecting things. Now that I have a loot bag, I am wondering if I should do something different and go for speed or stamina instead, and if I should do, why?

    speed > inventory > stamina

inventory is only one space each time, stamina you hardly notice the difference, while speed gets you around fast and is noticeably faster especially if your going to PVP

Speed. I've found a slow horse just kills my mood for questing and farming, and I tend to leave groups when I finish dungeons to immediately end up back at the Undaunted Enclave and avoid the ride from the wayshrine. On my main, I don't do this because he has full speed.

I still go for inventory space, then speed. I don't PvP and therefore have no interest in stamina. I agree tho' that the crafting bag does allow you to drop inventory space at a certain level if you're finding that you never actually fill your inventory. However, at lower levels I still find it important.

I went for speed first on all of my 4 mains. The normal speed is barely faster than running on foot, which is frustrating.

I also made 4 mule characters to store overflow stuff so space was never really an issue. Worked well for me.

    Thanks everyone for the replies.

I read just now you can't max out all stats. Since it's an old information, has this changed? Is there still a limit on how much you can level your horse or can you max all stats now?

That's old info; you can indeed have a 60/60/60 horse now.

Play all my new characters in PVP to level 50......

So I roll them at least 2 weeks before I'm going to use them, then feed them for speed, then stamina.....

If I like the character(ie I'm going to keep her) I then start on baggage. :)

Stamina, speed on alternate days. Once those two skills are leveled to around 20, then start working on inventory.

    Speed, stamina, bag space.

Since I have the sub and we get the crafting bag I'm not worried about bag space on my character.

Bank space on the other hand, I find ways of filling that up even without putting crafting materials in it.

And considering that I am a hoarder I think my horse will need the stamina to carry all the excess loot anyway. :p

Speed, Stamina, Inventory. Initially I bought my mounts crown upgrades on two characters, but once I started doing the rest of my characters (and at which time I had more bank space) I stuck with doing them in that order, one day at a time. I'm up to max speed and about half or more stam on all but my first two characters (which are long since maxed from crown upgrades), with the exception of my lone mule who has some speed by accident from me being too quick to just press A repeatedly on every character, and up to about 40 inventory upgrades.

And that stam may not be as obvious what a difference it makes usually, but any time you get hit while riding, you see that in fact it makes a gargantuan difference that is often dramatically underestimated and undervalued.

I used to do inventory first because I was always hurting for space, but now when I switch from a character with a maxed horse to my new alt the slowness drives me crazy. I started alternating speed one day, inventory the next. Stamina doesn't matter nearly as much to me - if I'm fast and have bag space, I can handle falling off now and again. I mostly just veer around things that might attack and have no trouble.

If you have the craft bag and inventory isn't needed, I would max out speed first for sure. It does make a big difference.

If you want to do ANYTHING with a group, you need your speed up first and foremost. Really sucks to be the one that's left behind in the dust whenever travelling.

    Speed-Bag Space-Stamina

Speed because i dont want to squander 120 years running from 1 place to another.

Bag space because of all the added content with no upgrades to bank/bags. Always thought it was a dirt move that i needed to fill all character slots and upgrade the bag space, just to save some stuff i would use on different builds/end game.

Stamina as only really counts in PvP. Its never a good idea to horse over Sej-Alessia bridge even with full stamina ))

On my very first character I did inventory first since I desperately needed more space. For every other character I do speed first. But I always invest in upgrading my bag space once I have decided to keep a character for a while too.

My mount is supposed to transport me from one place to another quickly, that's its main purpose. So speed over everything.
Next I would buy bag capacity, because being able to carry more is always good.

Stamina is not that important, because you can still sprint with the same speed, even when your mounts stamina is depleaded. Just keep holding down the button.
Stamina is only really usefull in pvp and then only when you have reached a high stamina level.

I value being able to carry more higher than being able to move faster , especially on my low level alts who don't have a lot of bag upgrades.

Thank you everyone again. Greatly appreciated teaching an old fart like me how to play the game. I have a new question now. Some people say something like 20/20 between Speed first then Stamina. I am curious as to why. Wouldn't 40 speed be faster than 20 speed and 20 stamina? What is stamina used for then? Just a burst of speed like running?

So is speed burst of stamina 20 actually faster than a speed of 40? Just trying to understand why. :)

Stamina is only important in how much damage you take on your horse before being dismounted. I would do stamina last.

Unless you PvP and don't like being instagibbed off your horse, max stam lets you take at least one or two hits from even the best players before being dismounted, which allows you to dismount yourself when it happens and avoid the unbreakable CC from being forcibly dismounted. Makes all the difference between being ganked successfully or not.
