Provisioning writ tier

I have noticed something odd yesterday after I logged in the game. I have 3 chars with provisioning skill at 50 and 6/6 in recipe improvement. Took the provisioning writ on all of them. My main was required to turn in CP150 food & drink (Lilmoth Garlic Hagfish & Hagraven's Tonic) but my alts were required to turn in CP50 food & drink (Pickled Carrot Slurry & Arenthian Brandy) of which I had large stocks - I manufacture them on my main who has 3/3 in Chef & Brewer for increased efficiency and distribute to my alts. I don't own Orsinium and the produce were dropped of in Belkarth, Craglorn. According to the patch notes all writs should now scale to the relevant skill passive and the final tier and the ones (CP150) should be able to be turned in in Belkarth if Orsinium is not owned. The other consumable writs did indeed scale as expected: the enchanting one required a superb (CP150 glyph) and alchemy an essence (CP150 potion). The only difference between provisioning and the other crafting skills that the recipe improvement 6 covers CP50, CP100 and CP150 food & drink. Over the next few days should I expect the same mix of CP50 & CP150 food and drink or all my chars will be required to turn in CP150 from now on?

Yup - same thing happened to me on two of my maxed provisioning chars yesterday. The other two received the regular CP 150 food writs. Will follow to see if this is char specific or if these "old" Craglorn provisioning writs have reentered the rotation. I'd like to think this is a bug and not intended.

I also saw that my EP and AD characters have the same writs each day, with only the tier changed if they are different level, but my DC char has the same writ they had the day before. I don't know if this is alliance specific, or has something to do with some other variables. Not that's annoying, as it's cheap to mass produce the writ foods, drinks and potions on my main and distribute to the others in stack so they have everything done for a few weeks in advance.

Hmm, just saw another post mention this.

Do you mean instead of just getting the 6 recipes you used to get at top tier, you are getting all Recipe Improvement Tier 6 recipes ( thus 18 as 3 CP levels x 6 each)

Would be great to know if thats intended, as the other OP is indeed correct that 18 slots burnt up just for Provisioning Writs! Hmm.

Recipe Improvement 6 allows you to craft CP100 and CP150 food. But before the update the crafting writs in Belkarth required CP50 food & drink even if you had 6/6 in recipe improvement. The patch notes stated quite clearly that the highest tier writs could now be turned in Belkarth for those who don't have Orsinium. As I said:
- the other consumables writs got properly updated on all characters, and they now in deed require CP150 items - essence for alchemy and superb glyph for enchanting
- one of my chars also had his provisioning writs properly updated to CP150, but the other 2 didn't although they have 6/6 recipe improvement
- gear crafting writs also got properly updated on my main - the others have 9/10 in the passive and do the lower tier because I need to exhaust my stocks of CP90-140 materials so their writs didn't change and weren't supposed to.
Note that those were all new writs, taken after the update, and not old writs left over since before.

So my question is: why is the provisioning writ different, and only for some characters?

I'm not sure it's character specific. One of my chars received a level VI prov writ yesterday and got the level VII one today. I have 5 chars that run the max provisioning writs daily so I'm following it to see if they've just mixed the prior tier writs in with the highest level ones for provisioning. I'm thinking this is likely a bug related to changing the turn in back to Craglorn and this was overlooked by the devs in the conversion.

Actually the way they reset Craglorn is one the aspects I don't like about this patch. They basically obliterated all map markers which I had discovered before, so I'll have to rediscover and clear them all once again. Losing the map markers would also make it moderately more difficult to home in on the location of the surveys - I got just one in Craglorn yesterday, and one in Wrothgar, despite the fact I don't yet own the DLC and never subscribed (another oversight?); the rest were in normal alliance areas which I fully cleared on my main.

Same here, 2 of my 4 crafters get cp 50 food writs while the 2 other get cp150....

Yesterday's writs seem to have required only the CP150 food & drink though. I will test again today to see what it requires. However I see they didn't update the quest description - it still mentions Orsinium, although it's turned in in Belkarth. Also I'm receiving Wrothgar surveys from the other writs although I don't own the DLC. I'll save them for later when I buy it.

Same thing - different level writs for different provisioners - all 6 of my Provisioners are level 50 and 6/6. Very frustrating. I just REALLY want to craft back in Orsinium - it was so much easier. Sigh...I hope they fix this soon.

You can't now? Because in the patch notes I read that you will be able to turn in the writs in Orsinium, and if you don't have access to it (ESO+, bought DLC) they are in Belkarth. So is just that your subscription expired. I really want to know if this is a Belkarth only problem or a global one. I think it's the latter, because the writs are generated and can be picked up from any board so turning it in Orsinium won't make a difference.

Thus far I've done 12 max prov writs on 4 chars over 3 days. I'm following type of recipes required per char each day. To date, 8 writs have required the CP 150 recipes and 4 needed the lower tier (CP 50/CP 100) recipes. One char has received only the CP 150 writ recipes each day. The others have gotten both of the level VI and level VII writs, depending on the day.

I'm also looking to see if there is a rotating pattern of the writ requirements over time in order to get a better handle on what is happening here. I'm not sure whether these writs are all now together in a 6-day writ rotation or if each char is randomly getting either a CP 50/100 recipe writ or a CP 150 recipe writ each day. I suspect it might be the latter as I'm already seeing inconsistencies between chars on what they have received the last two days (i.e., not fitting into a definable rotating pattern).

If others are interested in doing the same, it would be easier if we use the same template.

Tevalaur has 372 CP and every possible point spent in Provisioning, so 6/6 recipe improvement. She was doing the Orsinium writs until yesterday, when she was told to make Pickled Carrot Slurry & Arenthian Brandy. Today she was assigned Argonian Saddle-Cured Rabbit & Sipping Imga Tonic. Delivery in both cases was to Belkarth, and received Provisioner Pack VI. These are not recipes that she had been doing at top tier writs previously (nor the level of recipes as reward she had been getting) I'm also wondering what's up with this.

I have crafters doing every level of provisioning, but i only partially cover alliances. Anyway, after the patch they all continued to use same food that they had premade. I believe nothing has changed, except the bug at highest tier provisioning writs.

Same problem here and the writs are forcing me to turn in at craglorn instead of wrothgar. Only getting low tier mats for reward. Harvesting is working though.

There are no low tier mats in provisioning. All ingredients can be used for recipes of any level. For the other professions though the low level material packs you receive for reward when you don't receive survey reports were added to appease the people whining that they can't get materials to craft low level gear. For me they are just clutter I store on a bank char and sell on guild store when I hit a full stack.

This happened to me yesterday, too, and I don't have the recipe for the tonic nor could I find it to purchase. (The vendors don't sell recipes anymore).

It's a CP50 food and a CP5 drink for a 6/6 crafter...
If it continues like this, I won't be able to do provisioning writs anymore due to a lack of the recipes.
