Dolmen chests green items...

With the Treasure Hunter perk from CP I am 100% of the time getting green necks or rings. This was the case for me for weeks on PTS also. If Treasure Hunter is supposed to increase the quality I should be at minimum getting blue, especially if all other items are white quality dropping with the green ring/neck.

edit: Also Hurricane (stam sorc) is not working as intended. The visual is either not showing up at all along with the audio for it, or its just a weird ghostly visage look.

That is a false statistic like reaching into a bug of skittles and pulling out a red and claiming that the bag must therefore contain 100% red skittles.

The way Treasure Hunter used to work was that it improved your chance of getting a better quality item. So, for example, say the chance was 75% Green and 25% Blue it would improve it to 50% Green and 50% Blue (random values, I don't know the exact amount).

However, if the chance to get a Blue item was 0% then even with the Treasure Hunter skill your chance would be 0%. So if you have no chance to get a Blue item from a Dolmen chest then the Treasure Hunter skill is not useful at all.

Of course, they could well of changed how it works by now but definitely more samples would be needed to say one way or the other.

Thanks for taking the time to ride in on your white horse and save the day. I spent a lot of time on PTS farming dolmens and Treasure Hunter did not work on Dolmen chests. I always got green on PTS and I am still getting green now. Next time think before you speak or at least get the full picture.

I did think. And I pointed out the general cruelty of the rng in this game. It very rarely gifts what you want. Literally thousands of hours farming motifs, gear, tempers, etc has taught me that ZOS loves horrendous drop rates and this is exactly why I was not excited for the changes to itemization and overworld set drops of this nature, because this is yet another case of potentially hundreds of hours spent farming in vain. This coupled with the BoP trial drops just paints a future of disappointment for me.

Btw, I was originally being pedantic about your use of percentages. Use your critical reading skills before lashing out.

I would like to hear more about this ... is anyone seeing purple items at max level or at least higher cp? like 300...400?
if its 95% chance to always get green items... thats ridiculous.

Why would you see a 300 or 400 cp item? They dont exist anywhere in game

character level .... not item level.

notes say you will see more blue and purple as you get higher level.

Out of 17 green jewellery drops I got 1 purple. I'd hate to see what it's like WITHOUT the treasure hunter passive. Anyway, after mostly prosperous, training gear and defending senche lightning staves I'm already burnt out

For what it's worth, i got a blue ring drop from one of the dolmen chests. Without treasure hunter perk.

he means that at higher CP level you are supposed to see more blue and purple drops. He means the gear dropped at 160 cp but it should be dropped in higher quality more often as you gain more CP

thats awful... you had to do 18 dolmens to get ONE purple piece of jewelry... and there are 3 sets that drop so you probably didnt' get what you wanted to anyway.... and thats with the treasure hunter passive
