ZOS, PLEASE! I would MUCH rather have the Guild Trader I paid a fortune for restored to Pre-Patch quickly than a refund. I was hoping to make a name for my guild in a prime location during the busy time of the fresh update. The marketing means much more to me than what I spent. The guild in my spot is defuncted guild I am allowed to bid for when the guild master disappeared months ago. I placed that bid myself so no harm done to restore it.

I am under and evacuation in South Carolina because of Hurricane Matthew. I hope be able to get online to read game mails after I move but I am not sure if I will lose power or have other problems to keep me from doing so.

Ebay trade guild is not owned by me, I can show my guilds. I own 'The Traveling Merchant' and fund the bids of 'TTM overflow' ran by my girlfriend. As far as I am aware, Ebay trade guild and Trader guild are owned by TTG, but I could be wrong. The red tabards are from TTU (Tamriel trade guild, Traders of the Covenant and Tamriel Marketeers) and UTE (Most of rawl kha and all of the undaunted areas)

Yes this is the key problem here. People invested in this specific week and planned around the update. Just refunding our bids doesn't fix the problem. What happens if we lose bids next week? That's two weeks without a good trader for some of the top selling guilds in EU-PC and a huge amount of disruption for our members at a critical phase in the trade cycle.

Whatever you refund us, we'll have to spend even more next week to secure our traders for next week.

Whatever our differences, Blobs is right to say that this is a "shockingly poor error".

The right thing to do is restore the guilds to what they should be and refund the new guilds that set up shop there. They didn't win bids for the week and they would be getting free time in other guild's spots today so the wouldn't have any reason to complain. They only spent 10k that they would be refunded.

In general I'm not a fan of Neverwinter, but the auction house just works; the Guild trading in ESO has an annoying UI, you have to traipse about all over the place in the hopes that one of them might be selling something you want (making the search selections every time; I know addons are available, but it's still a non-optimal experience), and if you're not in a trading guild you can't offer anything for sale, so I don't bother with them. (And apparently they're also a source of bitter contention and rivalry, so now I'm even less inclined to use them; what if I'm shopping with an "evil" Guild?)

Guys calm down, the pure fact here is that only Pact Veteran managed to hold their Belkarth spot!

My guild list still shows one of my guilds to have their normal Belkarth spot, when infact it doesn't.

@ZOS_GinaBruno sorry to pick on you and I know it is being investigated BUT to my mind you should be refunding the 10k to the guilds that grabbed the spots and returning the status to what it was this morning BEFORE the servers went down.

@ZOS_GinaBruno the Issue with that zone is that you had 3 factions before thus 3 instances before with 3x as many traders BEFORE One Tamerial so unless Zos can figure out how to make even more vending locations we will lose 2/3 the guild traders thus we have the result from that.

This reminds me of a certain DC GM who was convinced that Mournhold was a terrible trade hub cos it was so empty all the time You know who you are mate

Lack of forethought and planning has led to this situation.

For those guilds who have lost their spot (I am a member of one of those involved) this is a shame. For those guilds who bid on an empty trader spot I also have some sympathy. They have bid in good faith and now they too are the victims in this mess.

@treborrealb14_ESO comment about the number of guilds bidding in triple instances such as Craglorn (and Hew's Bane and so on) is very pertinent.

How ZOS deal with this, and the speed with which they sort this mess out is key to a satisfactory resolution for all. Something leads me to believe that no one will be happy... which will be a shame.
