Hurricane mathew is suppose to hit fri-sat in SC. They've already asked people to evacuate.

I'm leaving tonight, I'm sure there is some other lost souls out there who will miss out on update 12 debut.

Supposedly, it's going to dodge where I live (Miami), but we'll still get high-speed winds and thunderstorms on Thursday going into Friday. I've seen hurricanes pull off surprising turns though and hit places unexpectedly.

I'm way up the east coast and generally inland "enough", but I did go out and test-fire the generator today, just in case. Snow and ice is generally more of a problem for us than hurricanes - but you never know...

Why are they asking you to evacuate 3 days early? Be safe in the south, I pray it doesn't make it's way up north as Sandy was a nightmare for me.

Avoid bottlenecks on the roads. Plus they evacuate the people in need of medical assistance first. Like those who rely on breathing machines. They also do this early so people can spread the word and get those who aren't aware or have access to travel out of the area typically by bus.

Makes sense, even though it seems a bit overreactive.

    I remember Hurricane Sandy...

My town here in Central Indiana didn't get hit by Sandy's full wrath, per se, but a small offshoot of it spawned tornadoes and floods.

The high school that's down the street from the college I go to is already practicing what to do if severe weather hits.

Do me a favor if you're in the South...evacuate now. ESO will still be here when the storm is over.
If you can't handle the heat...stay out of the kitchen!

If you're in Delaware, that's going to be a problem for ZeniMax, considering their base (and presumably, their servers, correct me if I'm wrong) are in Baltimore and may get hit by Matthew's wrath.

Stay safe, the game isn't going anywhere. I'm not american and I don't know how those things work, but I imagine that if they are already saying you should evacuate, then you probably should be evacuating already.

    Obviously Pepsi wasn't okay.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I just came back from a Winn Dixie from buying water....it was packed with ppl. I live in Miami. So we'll start getting hit before anyone else does. It use to be fun and exciting when hurricanes came but as you get older it becomes a financial burden and stressful since you can have property damages. Last hurricane we had was Wilma in 2005 and she shattered the windshield to our car.

So, here we go again and lets see what happens.
