Why are they asking you to evacuate 3 days early? Be safe in the south, I pray it doesn't make it's way up north as Sandy was a nightmare for me.
Makes sense, even though it seems a bit overreactive.Smasherx74 wrote: »Why are they asking you to evacuate 3 days early? Be safe in the south, I pray it doesn't make it's way up north as Sandy was a nightmare for me.
Avoid bottlenecks on the roads. Plus they evacuate the people in need of medical assistance first. Like those who rely on breathing machines. They also do this early so people can spread the word and get those who aren't aware or have access to travel out of the area typically by bus.

I just came back from a Winn Dixie from buying water....it was packed with ppl. I live in Miami. So we'll start getting hit before anyone else does. It use to be fun and exciting when hurricanes came but as you get older it becomes a financial burden and stressful since you can have property damages. Last hurricane we had was Wilma in 2005 and she shattered the windshield to our car.
So, here we go again and lets see what happens.

The big profiteers are places like Lowe's and home depot, with a lot of people boarding up windows and securing down stuff.
Cheers from FL.
Went through Andrew in '92. I won't really *** too much about a 'glancing' hit after that one...
