For PvP, you have a very deadly (and best possible imo) Magicka NB build slotting:

• 5x Necropotence (4 armor, 1 resto)
• 5x Clever Alchemist (3 armor, 2 dual wield swords)
• 3x Willpower (3 jewelry)

Crazy strong build.

Works well. Remember you want Necropendence on both bars. Alchimist only needs to be on one as once its proc'd it stays on for the 15s.

I'll second this. This setup, the one from Blobs video, makes much more sense. You want Necropotence on both bars. On the back bar, because the high Magicka gives you better shields, on the front (DW) bar to get the most damage. Of course this is a PvP setup. Alchemist is all about burst, needed in PvP. Not sure it is a good setup for PvE.

An alternatice, for IC, would be Necropotence + Imperial Physique + 2x Willpower weapons and Maelstrom or Master resto staff. If you have the confidence to use that set, of course. It risks tel var stones and it makes you a target.

I am personally also fond of Amberplasm for my Magicka NB, but unless you have Amberplasm weapons / shield, which are hard to grind, you will be forced into a 7x light armor setup. The nice thing about Imperial Physique is that it comes in all armor weights and, although rare, the guild store prices are more reasonable than Necropotence.

5 necroprentence, 2 skoria, 1 master destro, and 3 willpower is what I want to run but I can't get a sharpened staff. I could also use the vma destro but sharpened staves are elusive

That definitely works too. Depends on which weapon is your main bar but I think Blobs set it up smarter.

As long as you use Clever Alchemist/Necropotence you are going to be VERY strong. Willpower just tops it off
