Grinding Vigor on every stam character...

Can this not be such a grind pls. As much as I love the Cyrodil horse simulator why does it take sitting in a keep while it's defended or some worthless afk hours spent mutagen spaming. There's not enough people to just go in and get kills for AP it literally takes a week to get vigor and it's too dependent on others being online to be killed or to Zerg with your alliance to be necessary for a skill that is mandatory pretty much now for PVE stam builds especially in trials.

Please consider changing. Or at least making battlegrounds for a quick que'd instance to farm AP instead of horse riding simulator (oh wait I have to grind this on every character also or pay 60$. Lol)

It really doesn't take that long to get. 1 - 3 Days in Cyrodiil. I wouldn't call that a Grind.

One suggestion I've made months (or years) ago.
Increase the AP reward from cyrodiil quests massively.
Like 3000 AP for a long quest, 2000 for small ones.
I'd always do the quests in Cyro but the 200AP reward each is a joke.

People from different factions should cooperate, meet and kill each other to get AP. Need some coordination but still doable.

I got the skill after only three days in Imperial City - before the IC anniversary event. Small scale PvP seems to reward more AP per kill than zerging, so I'd recommend trying farming AP there.

You can get Vigor for free when I can get a vMA weapon of my choosing for free.

Getting Vigor is stupid-easy now, nut up and earn it.

I don't think that's needed, you get vigor quite fast. If anything, mages guild should be changed, grinding it to 10 on new chars is way more anoying than any other skill tree.

I like this idea. Some people end up stuck in a campaign that's bad for their faction so it takes a while to earn AP. Others get passed over for groups by the real PVP players because they're not invested in the outcome of the campaign or just plain bad at PVP because they're only there to get vigor and never return. Maybe the better solution is let them earn their points a different way and get out.

In lieu of that, to the OP, if you have enough gold you can always wall repair your way to vigor.

You are fortunate you didn't play when it took far far longer to get Vigor than it does now. Be happy it doesn't take long these days in comparison :)

Might help ya if you actually done the dailys mate:P

But have to agree, I hate levelling undaunted on other chars, doing it once is enough.

Oh and btw OP, getting Vigor or w/e is massively easy now, with a decent enough group you can get it in a day of play.

You would have hated getting Vigor before they nerfed the AP needed to get it to a laughable level.

Old school getting Vigor anyone remember?:P

2 here, but I agree. Vigor is a cakewalk, especially compared to how it used to be. First, it was the LAST ability in Assault unlocked, then it became the 2nd, and now the AP required to unlock it is reduced drastically. Seriously, it's literally like 80% less of a "grind" to get Vigor and you want it even EASIER? Why not just ask for everything maxed and unlocked from the get-go while you're at it, oh and ask for a way to just go pick up the BiS gear the moment you make a new character, which is Lv50 3600 CPs when made. That's about on par with what you're asking for OP.

Isn't it only like 90,000 ap to get vigor? It's some ridiculously low number for sure and it only takes like a few hours of pvp to get.

    Amen.
I've done what feels like Donkey Years worth of dungeoning and it's still at 7.5 at the highest on my templar healer. People say it can be done fast, but I have the same problem as PvE players have with doing PvP to get something. I just hate it with a passion, and not because I am bad at it, it's a steamroll, but it's so boring as hell... I hate scripted dungeons, I've hated them in every single MMO I've played, and this game by far has the most boring dungeon mechanics of all the MMO's I've played in the past, which makes it twice as painful.

And don't you try to compare that to getting vigour, one takes a few days of average playing and can even be done by not even playing properly, where as other takes a painfully long time, yes - undaunted takes hellova lot longer than getting vigour and requires active play, whereas you can leech AP and afk those defticks while watching *** on the other monitor.

They reduced AP requirement to please PvE players, why didn't they reduce Undaunted Xp requirement for PvP players?
And before anybody even dares to mention Cyrodiil weekend vendor - that has absolutely nothing to do with this. That vendor caters to both crowds and is gear, nothing to do with skills, not even remotely related.

Came quicker than I thought it would.I'm no PvPer, no impen stuff, I kill once and die three times.

But a couple of weeks, especially late Friday and Saturday nights (lol) in Cyrodiil did the trick for me. It was even fun!

And WOW is it useful for me know in those dungeons.

It's easy, go to Alissia Bridge, spam heals, bombard or any other AoE skill. You'll have vigor in a few hours, less if you're a group and do the player bounties. Hell stay an extra hour or two and pick up caltrops while you're there.

    I disagree.

I've been playing ESO since beta, with a year off, and had never played PVP until last week, when I decided to get Vigor and Caltrops. I had the skill, and morphed, after 2 evenings in Cyrodiil. I have no PVP specced gear either.

The best thing? I found out I love PVP. I would not have found this out had I not wanted to get Vigor and Caltrops, so a good call from the designers IMO.

TBH, I did not *need* either skill, and neither do you.

Actually Vigor is practically mandatory if your Stamina build needs a decent healing ability. Unless you can siphon or use damage shields to cover yourself it's pretty needed.
