To the Maelstrom Farmers...

Keep at it, everyone. Keep at it, keep at it, keep at it. Grind until you can't grind anymore and that you're 'tired'. To those who haven't beaten it yet, keep trying and trying. The weapons you get from this instance are rivaled by none, and boost your overall output and effectiveness in groups ridiculously. People shrug these weapons off sometimes, and say how crafted enchants rival them — but no. Not really. Maelstrom Bow compared to a crafted bow or Master's Bow is laughable. Unless MAYBE in a PVP environment. But honestly, Maelstrom Weapons are supreme. Keep at your hustle, and grind day and night. Get that loot, and then shine and bask in the satisfaction you feel from obtaining what you sought finally.

But, this isn't a complaint thread. This is more so my attempt at trying to encourage players to continue farming it. >_>

You're missing out big time then. The Last of Us, God of War, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Starfox, Bloodbourne, Dark Souls, and The Witcher just to name a few. I mean sure they have multiplayer bits added to them, and or a co-op feature here and there. But honestly, they're fantastic. Mega Man, Devil May Cry, Skyrim, etc.

Once a week now, that's all I will do it any more and I just get disheartened and frustrated.
Maybe rngesus will take pity on me one day and bless me with an inferno staff and at this point I would be willing to say screw it I'm good regardless of trait.

I think he means he's playing this MMO to do group content, and not solo content. And that if he wants to play solo content, he'll go play a single player game.

Once you complete for the first time you kind get addicted to it. You'll run it at least three times a day for the very first weeks XD

I still lack v16 Divine shoes after 600 farm runs. If I'm lucky I might get those shoes before Christmas 2017.

I hate it when there's salty people complaining that there's solo content in an mmo. Like so what? Go do your silly trials and I'll stick to my silly solo content.

I am going to try to do 2-3 runs a week as I have been getting a lot more proficient with my stamsorc, but each run still takes more than an hour and a half. I really enjoy my mag blade for other PvE stuff, and wish to get good on him so I can do it on two characters but I struggle a lot on it.

Im not salty at all about there being solo content. Im all for choice of play style and all that. The best gear shouldn't drop in the solo content of an mmo though. And yes, I like many if not most of us grew up with solo player games. I have nothing against them now I just prefer MMO's for the social aspect of it.

I'm not the type to run something multiple times a day. I do 1 WGT run a day every couple days to get my spc set and I don't play enough to even get through vma one time lol. I spend maybe 1hr or so in game a day if I have time to play or convince my wife to play it with me. But that's it. lol so I don't think so haha.

^What this guy said. VMA is undoubtedly the most ridiculous content ever. I mean come on...single player in an MMO?

However, it DOES get easier. You will still die to ridiculous attacks that are nowhere near you or AoE. You will still get crappy drops the majority of the time. But this is the only way you get the decent weapons. While not all builds rely on them...most do. The more you can provide your group, the easier end game content will be. I feel the frustration of every new bro trying to get that first clear. We can help each other and the game as a whole by calling action to the bugs we see, or the mechanics that aren't working properly. If we continue hold these folks more accountable for the state of any flawed content, they will (hopefully) fix it.

There are tons of resources around to help you find your way to that glorious golden chest filled with a garbage weapon you can't even use. Take your time, take breaks, buy lots of potion mats, and "do the dayum thang!"

This. Ran it twice following my first run all the way through. My first run took HUNDREDS of deaths, THOUSANDS in repairs. Multiple days (kept crashing at final boss for 3+ days). This was on my mageplar. I switched to my stamblade and have cleared it faster and faster each time. I make silly mistakes which waste resourcr, so I am still dying at least 10 times or so. But I went from 1hr 40 min run (2nd run) and have improved by at least 15-20 min each following run so far! Can't wait to get down to 50 min!

I've been on vMA for a month now. I got through stage 1-4 first attempt in about an hour and a half. Then started stage 5. Took me a total of 8 hours to finally beat it. I really don't like coming here lol hit I'm determined to beat it.
Since this is my first time in vMA I was wondering if my spot will be saved after one tamriel drops? Never had a spot through an update and I don't want to lose mine.

Sorry. Im married, have a full time job and a baby on the way. I don't have hours to maybe(not likely) get what I need only to rinse and repeat.

I dont need them. I mostly pvp and im over 5k weapon damage, on a pelinals build. That little extra isnt going to help me any more than I need

Rico had exactly 1400 vMA runs when he decided to quit and come with me to Black Desert, around 1200 flawless runs. No Sharpened Inferno. What would you like to say to him? Install ESO again and continue grinding?

But yes, you're right, those weapons grant an amazing advantage, which is why there is no place in ESO for competitive players, since there is no fair competition.
