Maelstrom's Sword and Mace enchant not working?

Me and a couple of my mates were testing the damage granted from the Maelstrom's sword and mace however found that it wasn't granting any additional damage. Has anyone else noticed this? The enchant says it grants 1290 additional damage on low slash, although after testing it it was doing the same damage as other swords or maces. Is this being fixed?

This is additional damage on your next HEAVY ATTACK. Your Low Slash damage is not increased.

I thought it increases the damage of your low slash, and then restores stamina if you heavy attack within 5 seconds of it

Adeshal is correct, the enchant only modifies the next heavy attack, not low slash itself.
