New Random Crown Boxes, please give us at least one for each eso sub month.

So they added these new RNG based loot boxes to the crown store. These contain anything currently or previously sold in the Crown Store. I won't lie, I don't mind the idea of it as long as they are not over priced but I think that ESO plus members should get a free box each month they are subbed. I am an Eso plus member and the only really great thing about is craft bags. I could 1 time buy the DLC and get a bunch of extra stuff and in the end probably save money. Being subbed gives you a very small amount of crowns and I think just giving us one box to open each month would be awesome. If you are on one of the other options, like the pay every 6 months or whatever it is, you'd get them (multiple boxes for each month subbed, in this case 6 for 6 month subscription) at the next payment when you get crowns. Sorry if this is a bit ranty but I'd really like more incentive to stay subbed other than a few crowns and craft bags.


And before you say "well dummy, you could take those crowns you get monthly and spend them on a box!"

No, I would like the box to be in addition to the current benefits of being subbed. Plus I haven't seen any info on how much they will cost either.

I wouldn't says you're a dummy, but still use the crowns you get with eso+ and you forgot the costume dye

I would rather get the Gems for free as part of ESO Plus. Those are the things that really have value. The Crown Crates are worthless.

Pretty much this. 1,500 crowns a month is not a "very small amount". You can buy several with your subscription each month if you want them.

Then of course there are the hordes of people who think these gamble boxes are poison to the game (see 100+ page thread) who will then have to decide if they want to keep their subscriptions if these things are dropped on them every month.

Well, another thing to consider is that if the Crown Crates are going to work, people need to buy them.

If ZOS thinks that handing out a few free ones will get people to buy more, we will see them prominently in the store. The Crown Crates are guaranteed to drop a common consumable item, so they can be used as swag. Bundles will come with a couple of them. They might hand a couple out along with the 500 Crowns for a new account.

It is not a stretch to think that people will get them with ESO Plus.

This is why I prefer the Gems for ESO Plus. The Crates could very well be common freebie stuff, which really makes them worthless as an additional ESO Plus benefit.

I agree that providing something of guaranteed worth as part of the subscription instead of random boxes is the better solution, but the subscription itself is not so worthless that more incentives need to be given, really.

But because ZOS is most certainly looking for reasons to saturate the entire game with gambling crates to entice people to buy more of them, and someone has now started a thread asking for this, I'm sure they will turn up as monthly subscription rewards, as well as in bundles, in new accounts, in live streaming prize giveaways, etc. Here comes Elder Gambling Boxes Online.
