Most likely not, or, not the Humanoid subspecies anyway. From what I know, they're Agile and very materialistic as is shown by their success as thieves and pickpockets. Though I'm sure they're also similar to real cats as well. Social, affectionate, and their well known obsessions with sweets, so you can imagine them lounging around munching on Sweetrolls.

...the more I think about it, the more it seems they actually do seem like every day cats actually. Just, they walk on two legs and can talk to you.

No, they don't. They have a very rich culture from a lore perspective which gets dumbed down to "yay catz!" by a lot of the Elder Scrolls community. They don't lick themselves. They don't chase balls of yarn or play with strings. They are not just big human shaped cats.

Khajiit agrees and will state what she has stated before. Santie likes yarn and drinking and fishing and a life of mischief. That is the life of this one. It is the only life this one she knows. It is not the life of all khajiit. To take just one and from that to assume the personality of an entire people is not correct.

Many khajiit are traders and scholars and mages and warriors and spiritual leaders. Yes some of us are also drunks and thieves - no different from any of the other peoples of Tamriel.

This one though she is here and many of the scholars and traders are not. Perhaps if more khajiit were willing to write here then a more rounded picture it may be formed.

That was a long post yes. This one now needs a drink and a nap.

Whilst I agree with your assumption that (most) Khajiit don't chase balls of yarn or play with string, I also doubt that they sweat on account of their fur and therefore probably do lick themselves to stay cool. If you're referring to how they bathe however, I concur that they'd do so like every other race.

For the record there is a bathhouse in Wrothgar that khajiit she is known to visit occasionally and if anyone tried to shave this one it would be the last thing they ever tried. Ever tried shaving a whirlwind of flying knives?

Thanks, that what I got from the exposition we got too. I believe I remember Pacrooti saying he was confused (and seemingly offended) when some Breton threw him a ball of yarn.

It seems to this one like some of the hairless ones perhaps follow a khajjit worshipping cult.

This one will be accepting offerings of coin, moon sugar and silk handkerchiefs in order to ... um... er communicate with the great gods on behalf of the elves and humans who wish to be khajiit.

Yes this one could perhaps be a very fine leader of such a cult ...

If you have a race specific personality you need to have one for all the races as they all have specific ‘traits’ that make them unique.

Personally, as a Breton, I see khajits as overgrown house pets that should know their place in society so how about a drinking milk from a saucer emote

But there is not enough stuff to push of shelves and tables, lore books to sit in the middle of, or guards to trip up.

Here's a true story about 4 months ago, my youngest cat he's just one, broke first out of our house ( through kitchen exhaust fan in the roof) then into my neighbours house (opened there back door) , procured a cat toy - from there Burmese kitten he used to play with. He came home with it ( broke out) neighbour came knocking a few hours later he was spotted jumping the fence. ( as they were chasing there freed cat) I knew he had it thought he found it on the side of the road In a clean up etc.
Obviously a kajhit would never do anything involving break and enter and theft of a coveted item, not at all like my Cat.

On an extremely superficial level it would be fun.

But from a lore perspective it would be shallow and disrespectul.

The Khajiit are basically mer that take varying forms of feline depending on what moon they were born under. Other than that- that's about the only thing relating them to actual felines. So having khajiit 'catch yarn' or 'lick themselves clean' would be wholly unrepresentative of the race as a whole.

And if we are going to do something like that for them, what of the other races? Are Orcs just going to have a 'brute' personality?
Bosmer just look like wild tree huggers?
Argonians are downtrodden slaves and tree hippies?

Personalities are fun, but they should just be kept them to general ones. None of the races fit a stereotype. And none of them certainly act like animals regardless of their looks.

To all those concerned that the most personal personality of this one is badly reflective of her race khajiit would like to add the following.

Khajiit first walked in Tamriel on the ninth day of Evening Star. Some say as the living spirit of Fishmas itself.

Thus the personality of this one - personally - is a reflection of Fishmas. Drinking, fishing, napping, so much food and the quest for ever more of the shiny, shiny objects.

So of course Santie is khajiit but this one is also an individual formed of the light from the moons under which she was made. As we all are yes.
