I think it's fine, i get why 2 shot gank builds don't like it because it's good at defeating that play-style, but there are many ways to deal with tanky builds, and super-tanky builds don't dish out much damage. I'm actually happy about the longer fights now in this game.

Fights were always long between equally skilled opponents.

Now every moron can equip certain sets hold rmb and is basically not killable in a 1v1 or even 2v1 encounter while waiting for friends to arrive.

The problem is it might counter twoshot gank builds (but those are actually the builds that have the biggest chance at killing tanks still). It harms gameplay for everyone not running those builds even more.

I HATE gankers and think they ruin PvP, so anything that limits their sneaky backstabbing wuss playstyle I fully support. HEAVY ARMOUR FOR ALL!!!

Thats the problem though this is not smth that helps against gankers. They can still kill those people. The one that really suffer are people that are not full-out burst bc those just can´t kill those people alone.

So I'm supposed to want my build nerfed so other players can kill me easier? MADNESS

We could maybe go back to the old style percentage based penetration. Would buff light and slightly nerf heavy all at once.

if everything were balanced 1 out of every 3 people would be wearing heavy armor.

Being balanced doesn't necessarily mean taking up an equal amount of the population, by that logic you could argue healers are under performing because the typical 4-man dungeon only calls for one of them, while it calls for two DPS. That being said, I really wouldn't be surprised if ZOS came out and said 33% of people in PVP wore at least 5 pieces of heavy. It's got some great sets for both magicka and stamina (Fasalla's, Reactive, Black Rose) and offers a large amount of armor for very little trade off (some spell pen if you're magic, cheaper dodge rolls if you're stam, etc.)

I like it how it is now - the latest buff to heavy Armor, has in my opinion, made the game the most hybrid-build friendly since release. It's rare for a build to be running 7 types of the same Armor now, because everyone seems to want to use 2+ heavy - no doubt a reaction to every man and his dog rolling a stamblade ganker in PVP :)

IMO heavy and medium are pretty good where they are, light armor needs a buff (some spell crit and spell damage added) and then I think this game would be as balanced as it's ever been.

Black rose constitution bonus basically gives a 260 stamina/magicka regen IF you wear 7 heavy and IF you are getting constantly hit. If those 2 conditions are not met the regen is even smaller.

There are extreme-damage medium armor builds running around with 3K+ regens... How someone can think 260 regen is so overpowered is beyond me.

ya its not even regen: dosent get higher with% buffs + u have to be taking damage

the problem isnt that heavy is too strong, aside from black rose having all dps stats+ situational resource management, its that light is so completely *** at the moment that most must run heavy

So I tried heavy armor (black rose) yesterday for the first time, ive been either light armor or medium armor in this game since the start. I found it insanely stronger then either of the other 2 armor types, imo they overbuffed it by FAR.

    Toughts?

how is a whole armor type overbuffed by one specific set being strong? try a magica heavy set on your stam build, what? its not completely super strong overpowered because heavy is massively overbuffed, no. no ***.
a heavy stamina dps with all dps stats, as well as pvp traits, is good for stamina dps in pvp, wow what a shocker. does not = all heavy is overbuffed.

light being absolutely awful is a much bigger problem than heavy finally being viable.

Black rose is the problem, not heavy armor.
