BoE Trial Leaderboard rewards

There are many heated discussions regarding the removal of Bind on Equip set drops from trials.
Specifically how it will impact on the incentives to run veteran trials.

One of my suggestions would be to restrict Motifs to drop only in veteran trials.
The second, and more interesting proposal is to add Legendary BoE Imperial City jewelry to Leaderboard weekly rewards.


BUT!
This should only be done after restricting accounts to one place on the Leaderboard.

Currently there is a possibility for a handful of guilds to completely fill the leaderboards with 12 characters for each of their core members.
This is unacceptable, for a handful of players to create a monopoly and call it "return of cost".

Give players a great incentive, and make sure to give everyone a chance to get it.

Don't get me wrong.
Only Willpower/Agility/Endurance should be BoE.
Everything else from Leaderboards should be BoP, as it currently is.

By the way, being a DLC set or not has nothing to do with it.
Imperial City jewelry is available to anyone, no DLCs needed.
All sets from TG and DB zones are available to anyone, no DLCs needed.
Heck, even the MoL sets are available to non TG DLC owners by getting on Leaderboards through HRC, AA, SO or DSA.

The leaderboards are not populated with the same people on 12 different accounts anymore, with the trial scaling its a little hard for some people to do this

This may be true.
But Leaderboards are a great way (if not the best way) to provide incentive.

The way things are currently, it does not reward a lot of players for the effort.
In fact, many guilds get instantly discouraged by looking at the leaderboards and seeing the same names fill the board over and over again.
Meaning they will never be eligible for a reward, so why even bother?

This, IMO, is not a great way to incentivize end game content.

EDIT: don't forget about the power creep.
Better to stop this now than have it fester for another 7 months when it will become a problem again.

I don't know what platform you're on but on ps4 it's just the same 12 people on the boards every week. It would just be the same bullcrap.

I said add BoE jewelry IF the leaderboards get locked to one place per account.
It means around 1000 players would get a reward each week.

So if 1000 people get rewarded for being good with a sellable item (meaning anyone can get that item, unlike Master or Maelstrom weapons) you would oppose that...
WHY?

I agree we should limit the amount of weekly rewards each player can get to 1, but they still ought to get a chance for something to earn gold on.

Remember... there are 4 sets, 23 possible drops for each set that the leaderboards reward.
4x23=92 possible drops.
Now take account they drop in 5 different traits for armor and 7 different traits for weapons.
If legendary IC jewelry were added into that loot table, they would have a small chance to drop.
Not to mention they still have all three traits associated to them (Healthy, Robust and Arcane) making for another 9 possible drops, where only 2 or 4 of those are actually worthwhile.

So... does that mean you would be okay with leaderboards being account based instead of character based?
