Hello, I would like to hear some opinions about adding skinning to the game to acquire leather scraps...my point for asking this to dev team to be implemented is the simple fact that it adds more immersion...also skinning is not benefiting from the CP 10% x2 node reward+50%faster gather also it makes no actual sense to have animals dropping their hides upon killing... especially sharing it with a group... on top of that compared to the rest of nodes that are gatherable and obviously not sharing between group... and common having a "skinning" option on animals that can drop leather is kind of logic for me.

    while from an immersion point of view it would make sense, it would also mean that gathering the materials needed for CR160 level gear would be un necessarily difficult.

    maybe player housing could one day include the option to keep livestock and a 'skinning' interaction could be implemented.

    Skinning is an mmo standard these days n definitely one of the many things that should b added. :)

    One of the other games I used to play used "animal dens" to get leather scraps from along with the animal npcs that you could get scraps from.

    I would like to see skinning for sure. I'm trying to create my CP160 set of leather and it is taking forever. I don't stop and kill every animal I see while running to quests, but I do a lot then they don't even give a scrap every time. So the ability to actually skin them and at least always get something would be nice.

    Since we already get leather from kills, it's going to be a hard sell to get this update. They would have to switch the drop so that you didn't get leather from the kill, only the skinning of it. Otherwise there would be an influx of leather all over the market dropping prices on every server.

    This would make the game more realistic for sure. But would also take longer for people to obtain the items they get. A lot of people may not want this as they are in a constant rush to gather as much as possible as quickly as they can.

    On the other hand, this could be a great way for people to get leather as anyone could skin the animal regardless of who killed it.

    It would add some immersion, sort of like what has to be done with fish when caught.

    I am not really a fan of singling out leather to make it more arduous to harvest. Everything else you just run up to and grab. With this killing it wouldn't be enough, but the you would need to spend more time harvesting each carcass.

    well so far I find it hard and stupid to acquire leather... especially that cp 160 have no actual farm spots since vet areas still drop cp 140 stuff... besides it would just add up to the crafters and farmers... and would make more sense...sure prices will drop but don't be so sure about it since even with the current state of ore and wood and cloth... not that many farmers...it would just make it a little more accessible and fun and logic in the same time...besides we are using a skinning knife to pull out runes...why not skin as well ? :smiley:
