Craftable Weapons using rare mats

It's a strong piece of equipment for completing hard content. Not exactly the first time this has been done in an MMO.

And if you can't beat vMA, and access those powerful weapons, that means that getting those weapons won't help you in your pursuit of high DPS. If you can't do vMA, that means that there is room to improve, and then once you have that solid foundation of being able to balance survivability, damage, and mechanics, then you've proven your worth enough to be able to use such weapons.

Also, beating vMA will help you become a better player more than all the vMA weapons in the world will ever do (don't cite me on that).

Actually I highly disagree with this. I pull an easy 30-35k on my stamblade in a pve situation without Maelstrom weapons, and I spent today finally trying to do vMSA and hit a brick wall on the last boss which would take more time than I'm willing to put into solo content.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't benefit from having Maelstrom weapons. vMSA is a different beast entirely than DLC dungeons and trials. I don't feel like specing my character a certain way just to clear one piece of boring, solo content in an MMO, and having to change a bunch of stuff around when I'm finished. But that doesn't mean I couldn't increase my dps with those weapons.

Not that I'm too fussed about it with the new jewlery + weapon sets coming out next month

Edit: Just realised the reason i hit a brick wall was cause i reset my skills and didn't buy passives :'( went there again and smashed him on the second try

Ha ha, Z won't let you craft jewels. No way they'll let you make better weapons.

Khajiit would not mind some unique craftable weapons to make builds more diverse.

As this one has said before though, if kitten cannot complete vMA then kitten is not ready for Maelstrom weapons.

Everytime someone doesn't get their in a video game a dumb version or a nerf is requested. Seriously what happen to feeling a self worth when u completes something. All i need hear is bunch is cry babies not getting they way. "This isn't fair @SantieClaws has that it, i want it." Once someone had something u can't get, because u cant understand simple mechanics or u dont like rng system or the boss to hard; the list goes on and on my friend.

Cant people be better than u for a moment than trying to find a way to satisfy your selfish need to have a everything. Yes the rng system sucks, but guess what its there to annoy u, to frustrate u, to motivate u, to bore u and when its all said & done. Its that self worth u get when finally get it, the main reason to accomplish and patiently wait to endure through it all.

Why the hell not? Maelstrom weapons can add like 5k dps which is crazy, it would take like a month to gather all the mats for it. I thinks its very fair.

VMA weapons should only be available from beating VMA, period. If you can not beat it, work on your build and keep trying. Making any of those weapons available outside of VMA, even with "rare" matts would just be a slap in the face to those who have worked hard to beat and/or grind vma.

vMA has been out for nearly a year now. You can save your progress. I don't think you get this.

A lot of us had to sit through it straight for 4-20 hours to learn and beat it. Some people rubber bands their controllers until they completed. You are now free to spend as much or little time in there and go back and finish.

Having the highest dps isn't the key, it's just learning the arena. Once you are familiar with mechanics you can get through it. Trust me, I've seen it completed by a player in crafted gear with no cp allocated and no weapon potions. I've also brought in a character wearing 7/7 heavy armor and I got through it.

No excuse. Just do it

Want the next best weapon? Go get carried through vdsa.
