How to gain CP without PVP

Greetings!

I started here in ESO thinking I would just have one toon......after I got her to CP200 I discovered that its very hard and going very slow to get more CP, especially when one, like me, dont do PVP and dont like the thieves guild and dont like sneaking around and stealing and killing innocent people.
So....I started a second toon: she took our CP to 240, but stil I think its going very, very slow.
A third toon! Started only to boost my CP, doing all quests in all factions, she is lvl 30 now.

I would appreciate a bit advice here if I can gain CPs smarter as than I do now :-)
Should I go so low to get around CP 500 or have I missed some brilliant ways to get there?
Is the only way, when one do not PVP, creating endless toons to boost up CP?

With kind regards,

Ala

PVP is one of the slowest ways to get CP. Go to old Orsinium and kill bears. If you have an XP scroll and enlightenment you'll get 4K XP each. You'll have a CP every 15 to 20 minutes at your level.

Doing Daily Random gives you a raw 100k+ exp, doing daily pledges, doing Assassin/TG radiant quest, world bosses, trials which are repeatable to get the experiences, grinding mobsters on certain areas.

Farm Wrothgar public dungeons. Possibly with a partner who you're married to in game. Also ambrosia.

A full set of training gear will help when you're doing various activities that involve killing mobs. It's not very pleasant to most people, but grinding mobs will probably be your fastest route to xp after you've done your daily random dungeon every day. You can also do dungeon pledges for a decent chunk of xp. You could farm dolmens for a while. The xp per mob is decent and you get about 3k for closing each one. Not as intense as straight up mob grinding and once One Tamriel hits, the jewelry rewards from the chest may be more appealing than the current loot.

I am wondering whether you have mixed up PVP and PVE?

As someone already said PVP is absolutely the slowest way to level CP's.

Wrothgar Public Dungeons are a good way to earn fast xp/cp. :)

PvP is not a good way to get CP in my opinion to begin with. There are though a few decent ways to get lots of CP real quick. I will use the list format for you below, and feel free to follow me at twitch.tv/soloserenity every monday from 9-5pm EST where I can answer all your questions!

    1. Craft a full set of gear with the "training" trait.
    2. Go to orsinium and kill everything in Old Orsinium or Rkindaleft with full "Training" gear equipped.
    3. Finish the story, finish Cadwell's Silver and Gold. Quests give lots of EXP and Gold. Along with more skill points and sky shards to collect for more skill points to max out all of your crafting as well.
    4. Use the random dungeon finder tool. Doing random dungeons grant bonus EXP which can add up real fast.
    5. Do all of your crafting writs which you collect from the bulletin boards in your home city. Finishing these gives you a lot of gold and crafting exp to help craft better gear so you can kill things faster.
    6. Do your undaunted pledges. You get lots of exp from doing them plus gold and items.

    Hope this helps bud!

You probably have started to notice that the amount of exp needed for each CP is going up too? Just to make that even more annoying. I am in the same situation.

Here are some different ways you can build CP:
    • Take your best DPS level 50 character and build level 150 purple gear with the training trait. Buy physic abrosia or get crown experience scroll. Go to Orsinium public dungeon, Imperial City Sewers or nMA and grind killing lots of mobs as fast as you can until your eyes bleed. This is what "hardcore" people do to get CP quickly.
    • Run random normal and SIlver pledge once a day on each level 50 character you have. This will use up all your enlightenment every day plus you get extra exp from completing these 2 dungeons on each character. Thats good for several CP a day.
    • Quest using your level 50's in caldwells Gold area (or anywhere when One Tamerial hits). This is depressingly slow though. Each quest barely nudges the bar unless it is a main quest. If you haven;t done the main quest, fighters quests or mages quests then do them at 50.. lots of CP.

If you do the above then you can get about 3-5cp a day pretty easily. thats 100+ cp a month. You should go from 250 -> 500+ in a couple of months no problem.

Do Undaunted Pledges, quests, do delves, or just walk around the country and kill monsters, you do not need to do PVP to get CPs,just play the game.

just bear in mind, that the more CPs you have, the longer it takes to get more, as the CP gain curve goes steeper with higher levels

A of good tips here. I just wish I can get CP faster as well, it takes a while to earn 870K for ONE CP. I am almost to the point of 1 million points (the amount needed to get a VR level) for a CP...

first started the game back in June this year , and I also dislike PvP but understand it's a necessary part of the game,
and I wont kill innocents either lol ( only done it once by accident ..OOpppps.)
anyway have gone from lvl 1 in CH to CP 192 in auridon todate.
have followed some of the methods above but yep it's worth reading several of the earlier post's for ideas on rapid progression without PvP .

Good work the people that have posted them and thanks
Try Cat herding it's fun thay said you'll love it it's a good honest job........ bollock's you need Silverweave body armour to stop em fighting, but a stuffed mouse on a string can help!

if u like random pvp fights cyrodiil daily quests, imperial city zombies and cracked wood cave are great places to grind cp.
if u got some money buy or fish then craft psijic ambrosia for xp buff.
if u got a friend you play with u get more xp duo and u can marry them for another xp buff.
u get no cp on a -50 alt.

7 piece training gear and weapons + ambrosia. Just grind old orsinium or rightkindaleft. Or look up a grinding guide and find where your cp160 area is.
Here $15, goat mount please. Not gambling or paying 45 : lol :
20% base speed for high ping players.
Streak moves you faster then speed cap.

Enlightenment and daily quests, if you don't want the boredom of a grind.

It's unfortunate you won't do dark brotherhood. My enlightenment stacked up and on a day off I ended up doing 36 or 38 of the kill contracts at 30k xp each, to net over 1,100,000xp. That's without training or xp potion or scroll. Crank them out at about 5 minutes per contract - maybe less or maybe more - that was worth 3 champ points right there for just a few hours bouncing around the map. A ambrosia or scroll or a switch to training gear at turn in time would have really supercharged that effort.

As some have said the wrothgar delves are the fastest way to gain cp.

This is because they are currently providing more experience than any other area, but unfortunately will be lowered next patch.

Dolemans (160) ➕ training ➕ XP potions is 12% of xp at 330 cp for each Coleman completed. Though right now I am just taking a break and acquiring enlightened bar every ten days and it burning it. Waiting patiently for the update, than cp will be alot easier to acquire.

You can absolutely PVE grind delves in Cyrodiil. Just be prepared that you might die to someone of the opposing faction. If you are in a small group you have less of a chance of dying, or a better chance of a rez vs a release.

Grind in wrothgar or IC, I personally recommend IC cause it gives you Tel Var and trophies.

I don't think anything gives more experience than IC mobs. Or perhaps it's the density of mobs that makes it fast. In either case, I found Wrothgar delves very slow comparatively.

I completed everything on one character. I absolutely did not want to do it again 7 more times. So, when I am enlightened, and only then, I go to Wrothgar and ran laps in one of the public dungeons with ambrosia and gain CP super fast, even when alone.

If your doing straight PVE, grab some Experience potions and take one just before entering into a delve/public dungeon if you like to solo. If you like grouping then grab both the daily pledges and take the potion before going into them. It will give you a great boost of experience while clearing that content.

Try to take advantage of that potion also. If your done with the dungeons and still have time left on it, jump over to Craglorn or anyplace with a lot of mobs to fight and grind out the extra time on it.

If you don't mind running dungeons over and over, get into one that's looking for a helm farm as they give great XP.

Do your dailys, right now theres 2 world boss dailys you can do in Gold Coast, plus at least one delve, maybe you can do both if you can find people to share with. Plus you got daily assains guilds and thieves guild quest if you join those on your toon. That's at least one cp per day at least. You can also do silver and gold pledges and even random normal and vets. You should be able to get steady exp every day.

Plus with the daily quests in gold coasts have a high chance of dropping motifts, and as long as its not assassins league they are worth decent money and you can make a lot of gold too if your in a trade guild.

Doing PvP has to be the slowest place to farm XP.

Going to popular grind spot and grind grind grind away is the fastest way, but will bore you to death.

How about, you do something that will be double helpful for you and your character, such as doing Daily Pledges to start with?
-You will get good XP (raising that CP level!)
-You will raise your Undaunted level
-You will get keys for some monster set shoulders (Make sure to save your bronze & silver keys for next update...)
-A chance as some monster set helm or Agility/Willpower Jewelry for Vet Dungeons.

Also do you your random dungeon every day. It gives a lot of XP! (From the group finder...)

Most importantly, have fun. Don't think of this as a grind.. You will get to max CP level eventually.

When you start a new toon.....you don't gain CP until they are max level. So all that time grinding them up is not really wasted, but not helping gain CP.

Every zone has a public dungeon. There is a group event that can be soloed for a skill point. They also have skyshard in them. Good xp also. Daily writs take a few minutes and give decent XP. I saw Mentioned random daily dungeons. Great way to gain xP. Normal maelstrom is also a great way to level. Though it can be boring after a few clears.

IMO the quickest and least grindy way to get CP is to use the group finder to do a random dungeon each day you're on. It gives you 100k exp and with enlightenment that becomes 400k. My CP's are currently in the high 400's and it takes about 410k exp to get a CP so even at my level its virtually a full CP for doing a 10-15min dungeon, in the mid 200's where you are you may even get 2 CP's, after that I try to do some of the daily repeatable quests, I know you said you don't like sneaking/stealing/killing innocents but there are others to do delves / kill world bosses as well

If you want CP fast, grind. If you dont care, just play the game. Constantly re-rolling toons is not really a great way to get CP as you dont earn CP from lvl 1-50. I know a certain someone that got to 531 CP in like 3 weeks. It can be done quickly if you put your mind to it.
