How to gain CP without PVP

PvP is probably the slowest source of CP experience.

One of the best ways to gain CP quickly is to do random veteran dungeons and random normal dungeons. Each one awards a humble amount of experience for completion (remember, you have to queue via the dungeon finder for these). They can be done on each toon too I believe, so you can bring your alts along and have them contribute to your overall CP experience too.

Another option I've found to be a better source of CP exp is to simply do the Cadwell's Silver/Gold questlines, including side quests in each of the zones, world bosses, dolmens, delves, public dungeons... basically vanilla content. The benefit of this is doing something your alt actually needs (like getting skill points from quests and unlocking wayshrines, and achievements if you're into that) while still having the progress contribute to your account overall (in terms of CP).

Also, farming IC Sewers mobs is quite rewarding for CP exp. It can be solo, but I've found that going in a pair is most effective (which is normally true anyway, given the exp boost for a party of two, but even more so in sewers with high mob density and potential pvp).

Edit: One mustn't stop at "vanilla" content either. Doing Wrothgar quests/delves/etc. will afford the same benefits. Daily quests are a good source of exp too, like Kvatch Arena, Wrothgar WB dailies, etc.

I don't think anything gives more experience than IC mobs. Or perhaps it's the density of mobs that makes it fast. In either case, I found Wrothgar delves very slow comparatively.

Defeating monsters in Orsinium’s public dungeons now grant 40% less experience, bringing them more in-line with other public dungeons.

Except the public dungeons in orsinium are grog a exp nerf by I think it said 40%. Huge nerf to exp gains for orsinium public dungeons whole the other public dungeons get a minor buff

Doing the pledges, doing your daily random dungeon, and completing quest hubs/delves/dark anchors/public dungeons has been the way I've gotten CP. It does slow down at the end no matter what you do but I'm also not in a hurry to be cap so doesnt matter to me.
