how many player are allowed in a campaign?

    You use to in daoc be able to do /who NF and it would show everyone who was in the PvP zone at the time for your Realm.

    was always amusing to do that and get like 600 or so Midgard/700 or so hib and 900+ Albion.

    I thought I heard somewhere that it was 200 per alliance with 600 total players

    Hmnmmm, this might actually have legs. I tend to log out in Cyro myself. I wonder now if that's what's lopsiding things? If a large number logs out in Cyro rather than leaving the area for PvE land? Might be tinfoil hat, but we really don't know and ZoS isn't gonna say anything. That's for sure.

    Maybe the server can "hold" the info of 1800 players, but obviously they are never on all at the same time. Regardless if they are online or not?

    The intent of the support article is to claim 1800 simultaneous players across all three alliances.

    Personally, I think it is less than that and the article has not been updated. Keeping their article updated probably isn't anywhere close to being a priority.

    350 / Alliance sounds somewhat realistic.

    3 Pug groups of 24 = 72
    4 Guild groups of 20 = 80
    1 Ball Zerg = 16
    10 smaller guild groups of around 8 = 80
    15 in IC = 15
    15 standing at the home gates doing Zip = 15
    4 'farming' Individuals 1 v X at a resource.
    20 Invisible Snipers + Bomb-blades = 20
    40 people un-grouped
    4 Zone chat commanders

    All speculative ofc :D

    It has to be higher than this. You can't go 25 feet in Scourge these days without 65 AD swarming you. IC included.

    We have done our best to test on unpopulated campaigns on off hours but seems like 120 each faction. There is a little wiggle room but I had a few groups q and it poplocked at 4 groups of 24. There were very little players on so I set around 20 that responded in zone chat for a count.

    I've just asked a similar questions.

    Not really fussed on actual numbers but more what it is that contributes to player being counted as being in that campaign for the purpose of the population indicator bars

    ZOS stated for the first pvp beta test that the cap was 1800 with 600 per faction, but they have purposefully ignored stating what the total population cap or any of the low, med, or high figures are per campaign since. They've significantly lowered them at least 3-4 times that I'm aware of, so I imagine they don't want you to know how bad (low) it has become compared to what was originally intended and capable of.

    My guess is that per bar it is 24 players(full grp). Since when i notice whenever some zergy pvp guild ended their raid the bar did go down by 1. For the last bar it seems to take more to get locked.(maybe 2x24 players)

    So i guess it will be ~120 per alliance

    Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus
