Where are the new craftable sets?

How come there was no more craftable sets added or even old ones updated?
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

There is no craftable set this round. Craftable sets mostly come in when there's new zones/areas added. It's not happening this update.

Considering all the best gear is now a drop set, and the fact that even craftable gear can now be picked up by boss in the area; I would just give up crafting.

Which craftable sets drop from bosses?

Some craftable sets really should get a rework however... like Ashen Grip, Oblivions Foe and so on.
They are not useful (at least not for their 5-ability).
I'd go that far to claim that only <5% of all craftable sets ingame are really used.

Woah, like what? First they take crafting advantage over drop. Now this?

Yeah, I feel like no one will be running crafted gear anymore. The motif page grind seems pointless with all the new dropped sets and costumes that make armor styling redundant. Not to mention the research times for those players that are not yet all 9's, or farming for materials.

I get the imperative to encourage people to run content (over and over). Hence BOP and motif pages (instead of books). I'm not sure where crafting is headed, but without things like the ability to restyle and retrait gear, there seems to be no point to trying to collect motifs.

In my mind, offering restyling to known motifs, and changing traits of items bound by having a certain number of traits researched is the only way at this point to keep crafting relevant. Restyling and changing traits could have a high material costs to keep those relevant too.

I would really love it if they updated the craftable sets, they are way outdated and some are plain underwhelming. Especially after this new patch in oct.

Yeah, if crafting let you improve the quality in addition to changing the style and trait it would still be useful. I would also like to see the ability to increase the item level of the item instead of having to craft a new one but ZOS loves their grinds too much for this to happen.

And yes, we need jewelry for crafted sets even if they are dropped or purchased.

I feel like jewelry crafting could easily be added to blacksmithing. After all we can already craft both light and medium armour with the clothier skill line alone.

All those motifs and yet we are stuck with an extremly limited amount of craftable sets.

Extremely limited? What? Crafted sets are still great and will still see plenty of use... Sure it'd be nice to have more, but they're introducing a ton of new sets obtainable all over the map. Why complain about this?

Dropped gear isn't crafted - big difference.

I like to make things for myself, I like to make then for my friends. Back in the day I used to make money from it as I only pvp. I like to make gear with the trait I want. I like to make gear with the style I want.

What's wrong with updating 10 old sets and adding 2 or 3 new ones? I'd rather grind for mats and make my own gear.

Just a thought, but maybe allow crafters to alter style and traits ( dependent on level/ tied to traits knowledge?) of all dropped sets. This would certainly make crafting useful again.

Something we been waiting 2 years for. Something good at the end of full 9 trait.

Problem is, they would need to let us trade bound items or let us create crafting stalls. Which would be put in the too hard basket.

I'm hoping crafted sets will get a look over with the next update.

I'm sure housing will tie into crafting somehow.
It also makes sense to dump all these sets into the game and give everything time to settle before looking at the crafted sets.

Crafting will take a back seat with this update for awhile.

TBS star will still be a go to end game raiding set but with jewelry and weapons for almost every gear set dropped sets will be the mix and match of the day.

Crafters need jewelry crafting in particular jewelry upgrading at the least.

The ability to re-trait gear and the ability to alter gear styles.
