Another post about Stam abilities for Sorcs

Yes, I know it's been said a billion times. I just REALLY miss using the abilities. I was a Magika Sorc and It was easily my favorite class. They nerfed my shields and I went Stam. I'm a Redguard and my magika build was fine. It was more challenging and frankly more fun making a Magika build with a Non Magika race. I like non standard builds.

Right now, I'm running 5 pc Pelinal's Aptitude (Heavy Chest), 2 pc Engine Guardian for PVE (2 pc Valkyn Skoria for PVP), 3 pc Agility. I started missing being a Magika Sorc when I stuck Velocious Curse on my bar to surprise people in PVP. Then I put Crystal Frags on my bar and I'm hitting hard with it. This made me miss the Destruction staff. I just wish we had a variety in our builds. So many people run the same things for Stamina and Magika...... Everyone is running the same few sets and using the same abilities. I wish Stamina classes in general could use more of their abilities but Stam Sorcerers seem to use use less than the others.

Just play magica sorc if you want man.

The shield thing was so exaggerated. Anyone who was a good magica sorc will still be a good magics sorc. Forget the meta, find a way to play what you enjoy. Theory craft new builds and see how you like them.

I can always go back and create a new Sorc. I just want them to open up more versatility. GIve us more things to anticipate. Let's have more versatility. We have too many empty sets in this game...... Expand the Meta.

Stam sorc on PVP are cheat , stam sorc on PVE have a best dps than magicka sorcere without overload .

try sword/shield
2 sword .

use the hurrican and dark pact , and now you are only full stamina , and do big damage to ennemies .

I see what you're saying. I've been playing stam sorc since IC patch, so I'm honestly super happy with where they are. Yeh passive changes ans hurricane is pretty big. Dark deal is hare to pull off in pvp, but it so good if you can.

I like the change to surge for pve. It great do me when DPSing. So many dots around with 74% crit means I get non stop healing basically.

DBOS being physical and only 84 ult is amazing too.

Compared to where they were, stam sorcs are in a great place.

If Trinimac's valour didn't have a cooldown that might be pretty sweet for a sorc.

Bro, if you want to play magicka, the shields are still good, if not better now. Everyone is just upset because they can't use the cookie cutter Julianos/Kena/Torugs combo. You need to focus on max magicka (at least 35k without food) and a good recovery. Mine runs this:
5x Elegance
3x Willpower
2x Vicious Death
1x Kena
7x Divines
Atronach Stone
Frothgar food
Altmer race

With this build, you get around 1600 recovery, 38k magicka and a buttload of spell damage. 1600 is enough recovery to constantly cast Wards when needed. And don't do Dual Wield.

I've got all of the weapons maxed and skill points for them all. I switch between my two hand and a bow but I run a duel wield all the time. I just like using the abilities. I want to use more of them

Even though my main is a Stamina Sorc, I say that if they give Sorcs more stamina abilities then they should also be giving weapons Magicka morphs or abilities. Because the reality is, no matter what class you play, the amount of Stamina based class abilities are fairly low because ZOS expects Stamina players to use weapons as their main source of damage- which would be why a player chooses Stamina in the first place. So if you want to play Stamina, then focus on using weapons for damage, if you want to specialize in class damage, then go Magicka.

I actually wouldn't mind using a Magika sword or daggers....... that just opens more diversity in t he builds and in the play styles

Problem with that though is that we end up with every stam dps playing almost exactly the same. The real problem isn't enough stam morphs though, it's that going the hybrid is gimping yourself. Removing the soft caps was a huge mistake if you ask me, sure it made it simpler for new players and might appeal more to min/maxers but it didn't do much for diversity.

So now we need stam morphs to keep builds interesting. It's either that or come up with a way to make hybrids viable, which is what i'd like. Nothing would make me happier with ESO than if i could use DW/Destro and Sorc abilities which are uniquely Sorc like Lightening Splash, Pets and Crystal Shards mixed with weapon skills.

Still stoked that Stam Sorcs are finally viable and the new Hurricane is pretty sweet but still, missing those fun Sorc spells.
