It won't be coming. They don't want PVP and PVE zones. The only reason and dueling will be outside of PVP zones is likely because they don't want people have to queue for it.

no, you are wrong. i stay here cuz i love the game (fading as of late if im honest), and i agree with the person saying cheat engine is here to stay as are exploits, and no im not throwing myself under the bus fir saying that, I dont use cheat engine or abuse exploits but im not naive enough to believe:

A ) Cheat engine is gone and we should all rejoice.

B ) ZoS actually enforces permanent bans (see cheat engine as proof and users unbanned) IN GAME, as the forums they actually mean PERMANENT BAN (completely backwards).

C ) Either of the above will be true anytime soon. i.e. cheat engine is no longer able to be used and zos actually enforcing permanent bans for cheat engine or exploiting.......

So thats my two cents. im here until i cant take the downward trend on their tos and sticking to their decisions on bans.

edit: i do however really hope it all gets corrected, and to zos credit they have been trying and going in the right direction so lets hope they keep stepping it up.

I believe the Justice System is getting some really solid ground for implementation with this next update.

First there is the zone scaling, which puts all players on a level playing field.
Then there are duels, where we will see how well certain classes and builds work, some balance may be underway.

Once the duels come live, people will have two less arguments against PvP Justice: immersion and performance.

This pretty much ^^ The cheat engine, broken game mechanics and exploiting is rampant in this game still today, it will make things like dueling, enforcer system, just not fun for the average player that plays the game legit, I do see less obvious cheaters in Cyrodiil that I used to, but there are still a few questionable players I run across, and no they do not kill me, I just watch them play. Shame so many people think they have to cheat to play a video game in the end the only people that gets cheated is the cheater robbing themselves of a good gaming experience.

ZOS need to make sure pema bans are permanent, all the players they have let back in I see cheating again already, they need to work on the fix that detects anything other than the game running at the client when you log on, and also if you try to activate it once in game, I know easier said than done. All the other games on the market that are affected by cheat engine should work together for legal action against the creators of cheat engine.

I know a lot of people were looking forward to dueling and I hope it works out being fun, but at this point I have a bad feeling about it.

If you know much about the scaling then you know that it's not really balance. It makes it so low levels have a better chance but it really doesn't balance the game out.

Actually, a properly geared low level can achieve much higher numbers than a max level.
The only thing that low levels lack are skill line levels e.a. they don't have all skills unlocked.

Whitelisting is a thing. Will be a thing for the PVP elements.

With this barrier finally crossed they might do it, though hopefully the PVP in PVE area's does not murder the performance for the rest of us.

Yes, this is exactly what I am hoping.

It's ok to cheat and exploit, you just can't talk about it! >:)

I like the idea of Dueling and not changing the Justice system. I can use the Dueling system to help improve my PVP skills as a choice. I don't wan't to be ganked by some iggit becuz I have a bounty from thieving. Stealing and murder are part of the game, especially with TG and DB. I don't want to allow other players to interfere with how I play that aspect of the game becuz it would be fun for them. It would not be fun for me, unless I agree to it.

So far there have been no examples of a PvP Justice system other than mine (link in sig) as far as I know.

When people made polls and threads about PvP Justice, they always mention an opt out solution.

    A realist might.

That Cheat Engine works at all is a much bigger issue than most people seem to grasp.

Here's the simple problem: CE should not affect an MMO at all. It's a local memory modification utility. It reads data you store in ram, and lets you modify specific memory locations manually. It does a little more than that to shield itself from detection, but that's all it can really do. Local, as in your system.

And, before you go off on me saying, "ahah! You must use it, or you wouldn't know that!" I'm a programmer. I've used memory modification tools enough times for legitimate purposes in development and troubleshooting, mostly in troubleshooting. Last time I fired one up was about seven years ago. Give or take. I don't do this stuff for a living now, but I used to.

The problem is, MMOs aren't supposed to work like that. In a game like WoW, or Everquest, or literally any MMO out there, your client tells the server, "hey, I want to do a thing," and then the server decides if that's possible. If you use Cheat Engine, you can tell the server, "hey, I want to do an impossible thing," and then the server laughs at you (and nothing happens).

You can't, say, modify your stats, or lock your health, because that's stuff that's adjudicated by the server. Specifically to keep you from using a memory modification tool like Cheat Engine to screw with people.

Except... in ESO, that's not what happens.

For some reason, when you say, "hey, I want to do an impossible thing," the server goes, "okay, have fun," and then does that impossible thing. We saw this at launch with the flying bots. We've seen this in Cyrodiil for months.

You'll see stuff like this happen in non-MMOs. If you're the host in a game like Call of Duty, then your system is the one doing the adjudicating, and if you're using CE, you can define that impossible thing as possible for you.

Thing is, this is a major architectural element to how ESO was designed. The smart solution, to parse everything through the server, would require a complete rewrite of the netcode. That is non-trivial. It would probably improve Cyrodiil performance (ironically), but it would require rewriting a huge chunk of how the game functions to make it happen.

This means, yeah, CE is probably going to remain a blight on ESO for the foreseeable future. ZOS can keep looking for it. They can start instituting sanity checks that provoke a GM to look and see if someone is, in fact, cheating. But, they can't simply disable it.
