O spread out it is tuff to be competitive an auction house would be a great addition everyone would loveI would like to know if there were any plans on going to a server wife auction house for anyone to sell there stuff like me I am not in a guild that has a guild trader so I am stuck and even the guild traders are so

It seems like you're fairly new around here so I'll try and be gentle: someone makes a thread like this every week. It tends to spawn sprawling discussions about every aspect of MMO economies, what works and what doesn't. Soon someone makes a poll or five and they all show that a slim majority of the forum community likes it as it is now.

ZOS has stated multiple times that they do not want to add a global auction house. Check out the guild recruitment forums and try to join a trading guild, it's really not all that difficult.

I love the current system. AH are too easy to control and many of us do not want an AH in ESO.

I am new to the forums here so did not know this was a hot topic I was just asking having played many mmorpg games the system that is in place here has you spend a lot of time traveling to all the different guild traders to see who has the best prices and spend a lot of time where an auction house would save a lot of time and let anyone sell what they want not just the guilds that bid on a trader just my opinion having played wow a ton of years in my opinion that was a better system no game is perfect was just giving my opinion

These forums are not a good place to promote a global trading system, because people who come here (mostly) profit from the actual guild traders system.

Besides, I have stated many times that both systems are broken without some kind of antitrust laws built within the game itself.

For the time being, if you have a hard time finding items, check this website, it's very helpful:

Or better yet, if your on Xbox send me on the forums with gamer tag, what your looking and how you want to spend. I will take the leg work out of searching every trader, I only,charge a 10% finders fee.

I love the guild trades. It encourages players to explore the world or interact with each other on a more personal level. Plus, an AH is to easy control by a few while the guild traders are harder to control like that.

why not a central thread just for all for and against AH beats going to all diff threads looking for the comments and copy and pasting them... see what i did there Wouldnt a central AH make life much easier

Market control is already happening. That's why we need antitrust laws built within the trading system.

First of all, it's not that hard to join a trading guild. Though if you are not a serious seller (ie, you will make sure your 30 slots are filled on a regular basis so you are actually selling stuff), you may be better off joining a social guild that tries to keep an out of town trader.

To find guilds like that, make a note of which traders tend to have the same guild over a number of weeks, look at the folks who are selling stuff in it and message one of them asking for info on how to join.

If you are on PC, you may want to get the AwesomeGuildStore addon. It will make your experience much better.

I've not played many MMOs, and I've always liked the guild trader system in ESO. But since I started playing Black Desert, which has a global AH, I've come to really appreciate the system we have in ESO. Sure, it's convenient to list stuff without being in a guild, but pretty much anything worth having is either always out of stock or costs an arm, a leg and the blood of your first born. People have repeatedly complained about having to camp the auction house for hours on end to get what they want. At least with travelling from trader to trader you get to see the world and maybe find another deal that you weren't looking for.

Some have said the AH is what is used in successful games. SWG and EQ bith essentially used guild traders and both were good games with good economies much like we have here.

Well I'm certainly not new around here but I can't remember the rationale any longer. Why don't they want to do it again? Remind me.

Also it seems to me that ZOS' willingness to flex with regards to sub model, B2P, how the cash shop works, sub benefits, PVE alliance locks, etc., makes revisiting things we think we know not completely pointless.
