GOLD SELLERS have finally arrived on Console!

On PS4 NA DC, there is currently a fresh level 3 player that is sitting at the Stormhaven, Wayrest Wayshrine advertising via a text to speech program that uses the Area voice chat to advertise a website that sells ESO gold. The voice program is a lady that speaks the same message every 2 or so minutes.

I also do not know how he/she is bypassing the afk timer.

Please help us.

not surprised I remember when they fixed text chat in Neverwinter all Protectors Enclave is is gold sellers almost every mmo Ive played thats all text chat becomes is a place for gold seller welcome to mmo text chat this was the reason I wasn't hyped for text chat.

They just have to make it so Elder Scrolls Online cannot be played using 30 Day Free PS Plus accounts. These people are not going to spend money on PlayStation Plus accounts due to being banned continuously as it would have a negative effect on them in generating income.

@RebornV3x He's not talking about it being through text chat.

I once kept myself from idle disconnecting by sitting my controller down in my chair in just the right position as so I kept my block up constantly. It's quite easy to bypass the timer to be honest.

Question, is this reportable to whatever Sony's network is as well?

I mean getting banned from the game and creating new accounts is one thing, but if it's also against Sony's ToS couldn't they also have their PS4s, IP's, or both bricked?

Should be. Solicitation in games is frowned upon heavily by the game's company (in this case Zenimax) and I see no reason the platform owner should let it slide.

As a PC player who lived through early access and the gold seller chat spam around that period, you have my sympathies.

Yeah, after they put in the delete limit they stopped spaming zone chat alltogether. There is no more gold sellers broad casting on the pc version from what I know which is a blessing . I hope they go away on consoles though.

l heard it last night ( for me anyway) in stormhaven on the area chat. Most my characters are on guild chat channels but swapping to train horses I heard it.

There are very good reasons i NEVER use area voice chat and have it turned off at all times. This would just be another reason.

I've been dealing with them for a while now. They keep making accounts and sending sketchy messages to people who used those eso communities on ps4. Got about 30 of them this summer alone so that is nothing.

@KICHZY Who cares about these people they aren't bothering anyone, if you don't like it just ignore them and play the game. NO one says you have to buy their gold.why hurt people who use a free ps plus month.

They have been around a few weeks now, I was getting pm'd every 2 -3 days with the exact same msg from diffetent accounts, reported them to sony but apparently their breaking no rules. I've since blockef them all & left all my ESO related communities and they've stopped.

I don't think they are AFK as you can hear the person talking in another language in the BG.

Using voice chat does not reset the timer, though. I can vouch for this personally.

One night I was in guild chat on Xbox having a lively conversation about future events while playing No Man's Sky on the PS4. Got kicked for inactivity mid sentence. I was careful to bump my controller periodically after that. This was exactly one week before Shadows of the Hist DLC dropped.

I've had a gold farmer message me twice through PS4's private messaging system. I reported them through Sony's report function, then took screenshots of the account/message they sent and submitted a ticket to ZOS Customer Service via their Support website with the pictures attached. One picture had the support ID Sony uses for their customer reports.

It's a two pronged issue. So I submitted reports so both parties are aware of this PS4 account is spamming advertising for selling ESO gold. Better safe then sorry. I know how annoying bots can get.

Has anyone gotten any video of that? That is probably better than a screenshot for proof.
...I'm also really curious what this speech program is... wish I knew someone on console!
