The day that ESO becomes p2w, I will say no.
It would be silly to protest loot boxes for that reason though. They will be purely cosmetic items, and it will only include previously retired items. Additionally, it will have no exclusive items.
I don't see the slippery slope fallacy here.

@Abeille Ohh my! That's new information to me, and it does change my attitude a little bit. They're still cosmetic items, but the super special mount will become a sort of bragging right, much like the dro'mathra senche.

WRONG.
They specifically stated that there will be, at least, mounts that are ONLY obtainable thru loot boxes.
THE TRUTH
Edit: I've been ninja'd

Next up they will introduce other items that will slowly move the treshold to p2w. The later you go against these practices, the harder it will become to prevent p2w. If this is step 8, what's step 9? And what's step 10? I rather prevent step 8, as this is just as horrible. (and something I atleast will quit over, even though I played from day 1 + beta)
oh and if you think its just one time action from Zenimax.. then learn how business works..
those "mystery box" will only become more tempting to buy each time a new one is introduced..
P2W? On cosmetic items? lol
This slippery slope has gone too far. When ESO went b2p, they said "no loot boxes". Now they introduce loot boxes and say "never p2w". I don't trust the word of Zenimax anymore.
Say no to the slippery slope and say no to loot boxes! If we let them do this, p2w will come eventually.
As there is actually a pattern where the crownstore gets more and more and more and more every quarter. So, how long can it take?

May I have the source for "when ESO sent b2p, they said no loot boxes"?
