4, but every now and then I'll feed once before I PVP.

3 fro PVE – regen is on and it's less fire weakness (extra benefit – char looks slightly less ugly!)
4 for PVP – mist form is cheaper and anyway it's going to bring you to 4th stage pretty fast

✭✭✭Vampirism is a pain to maintain if you don't just let it stay at Stage 4. The time you stay in a previous Stage is WAY longer than it used to be, but using Vampire abilities accelerates the transition now. If you actively use Vampire abilities you will have to feed pretty darn often to keep your Stage down. I'd rather just stay at Stage 4... Dark Stalker isn't a bad thing to have at the ready

Nah it's easy, and half the fun of being a vampire.
The Deshaan Fighter's Guild is always a great choice for the Vamp on the go. There's no guards to tell you what
you can and can't eat; and even if you feast on the entire guild, all you have to do is respe your skill points into maximum
heat decrease and reduced bounties. Or just run the Thieves Guild Repeatables and daily quest as they both grant pardons.
I'll feed on the Hostile Dunmer right near the undaunted in mournhold on my way to pick up the pledge. The poachers in western
wrothgar also make an excellent meal.
I only use
Vamp skills in Cyrodil, so I will normally just roll in stage 4 for PVP, where the stage 4 bonuses actually have some value.0 -

The new appearance stuff we got was the normal hair styles, and three body tattoos, one's khajiit only, one's Argonian only, and one's for everyone else. But, these work like costume pieces, so you can stick them on and take them off at will.0 -

✭I prefer to be in stage 4 to have all the passives active and because I love using bat swarm which increases the stage timer, but recently I've been sitting at stage 2 because I still get the regen perk and it looks a lot less gross - I've mostly been questing on him recently anyway (gotta get that Explorer title!).
Also since I made him paler through appearance change vampirism turns him white as opposed to purple, which is still a pretty big transition since he's a Redguard but it bothers me a lot less than the silly purple colour he used to be! At least he's a plausible human colour now...
