I'm not sure what you think the top set is, but for magicka DPS, it is generally Julianos, and stamina DPS, it is generally Hunding's Rage.

In an organized trial setting, Twice-Born Star tends to top in DPS.

Those 3 sets are crafted. Often times, though, the sets similar in DPS to them are dropped sets.

In addition, Agility and Willpower Jewelry, which drops based on RNG, makes good matches, but there's plenty of jewelry for sale, you just have to buy it.

I'll give you that monster helms + shoulders + Maelstrom Weapons are locked behind RNG, but the solid foundations of a good setup are either crafted, or purchasable.

Disagree, a bit. Sorcs are so bad right now, Seducer is just too weak. Despite, why is the top set blocked behind RNG? Eternal Hunt sure doesn't have that problem.

Anyway, as a TL;DR: Guild traders are messy, PvP is messy, PvE boring, and I'M out of coffee! (>~<) All clear now, andreas?

No eternal hunt is just stuck behind months of researching traits. Then you need the mats to craft it.

Fair. FAIR ENOUGH, and I absolutely agree that crafting is yet another ugly can of worms that is designed to be just as time-robbing as possible.

Honestly? Not so much. I mean, yeah, the 9 trait sets do involve a serious time commitment, but consider a few alternatives from other MMOs.

Lots of MMOs will randomize the crafted item's traits. With ESO, you stuck your materials in and get exactly the item you want out... (assuming you didn't make a mistake), as opposed to a game like The Division, where you're expected to pour your resources into the crafting system only to get gear with garbage traits out.

You can make as many items as you want, assuming your materials hold out, as opposed to a game like TSW where you're required to get specific consumable template items for each item you craft, and these are awarded very sparingly.

While you do need to pour in resources to upgrade an item, those resource costs are fixed, unlike a lot of Asian F2P MMOs, where your chances of upgrading can never be increased to 100%, and you can easily pour thousands of upgrade mats (or hundreds of dollars) into getting an item to it's highest possible tier, and still ultimately come away empty handed.

Research rewards players who come to the game consistently over long periods of time, without disproportionately advantaging the players who are on 18 hours a day, without fail.

As much of a pain in the *** as V16 items are, they're nothing compared to how a lot of MMOs handle crafting. And the V14 endgame gear was hilariously easy to make, to spec.

    Total:
It's for PvP, and the last update kinda bent sorcs over the knee in terms of sustain. If you're on your own, or in other words, can't retreat at will to get refill your resources, Seducer is almost mandatory. But it drops your damage noticeably. Lich is better on the sustain part and you can even get a bit more damage with it.

    Stark:
Okay, maybe it's a more generous system than what the asians have, but I still strongly believe that the waiting time is just too much, the trait research system very complicated and overall, man... I am just an enemy to the idea that virtual barriers should keep you from progress. And in my case, RNG is a BIG barrier.

i dont see how people play without addons. The first two problems in your post are solved by them. Addons for multicraft and addons for proper filtering.

I know i know i could do all that stuff myself, but really it isnt fun, so why would I?

Crafting is one of the best features in ESO. And Its not rng like in other games..and it's original.

PVP is nice also . Don't be afraid of zergs . Every war has it's zergs ( in real life )

On your server the blue ones dominate because probably they are better organized. U can try to play on other campaign if you don't like the blue domination. But Im sure this domination will not last too much. Things will change.

    Good luck m8!

I find crafting extremely painful. From gathering the materials to going to the station and selecting miniscule setting for the end product, when the settings even change on their own switching between body pieces. It is annoying as hell. Well, at least that's my opinion. If you enjoy it, well.

It's been going on for half a year. Longer, even. Yeah, things change in the way that people migrate to the other faction. Hell, is it too much too ask ZOS for a fair PvP environment?

But thanks for your advice, matey! Appreciate it, i really do! =)

On ps4 na, we have a problem with the reds. On actually most of the campaigns. Problem is, they dominate purely because they love to zerg. They actually aren't organized at all, and they're very immature. Believe me i've talked to former reds who turned yellow cause they got sick of that ***. Most of the reds are actually kids, not even 18, and they all are full of themselves, thinking they're better than everyone. Blues do tend to be more organised on average, and when it comes down to it, compared to the pushup emoted and t-bagging the reds love to do to your body even if they weren't the ones who killed you, i would much prefer to face the blues, who, imo, tend to be more honourable and much more mature.

I even just had a red last night, he pm'ed me after i killed him asking for a duel, which i didn't respond to cause i didn't see it till much later. When i didn't respond within 5 mins, he said, 'exactly, scared.' 5 mins later i get killed by one of his friends when he is no where in sight, only for him to run up a min later and t-bag me. Personally i call this immature behaviour, and is just one example of what i see with the reds.

Yeah, i'd much prefer the blues. You are lucky.

Well, that's exactly what friends of mine report seeing often from the blues. That immature stuff and so. I have seen it being done to me maybe once or twice, so I can't really complain there. They also seem to be rather organized, I think. Cannot recall seeing too many kids with the Pact or Dominion, neither. It might be personal perception, but so far I can't really lament about the factions on a personal basis.
I can, however, complain about the way the campaign is decided, and boy, even if you put up a Team Orange, the blues in our campaign would still outnumber us. It is insane and just shows how badly something needs to be done. But it is just not happening, because Wroebel. Seriously, why is this guy still in charge? WTF?

I think it's more to do with different platform, different server, different people. Here on ps4 na, pop wise it's reds first, dominion very close second, and blues, actually the lowest population of all. I can't comment to xbox cause i would never touch an xbox in my life but that's a whole other matter. So just different platform, different server, different problems altogether.

I mean the reason i say i'd prefer blues is, actually it's funny, a lot of the times i've been killed by blues, they wouldn't ever t-bag. Actually the complete opposite. They BOW to me! Now THAT'S honour.

Hehe, yeah, sometimes, I see a bow or the "good job" quickchat from my enemies, too. Usually more often from the yellows, but also from blues. I have read multiple comments about red zergs on PC, but seeing as I'm a consolero, I can't confirm.
I would prefer fighting the yellows. The blues are just always super zerging, with an abundancy of healers, it is absolutely pointless. But certain groups of yellows have developed a habit of rolling around rocks and trees and probably their mom for all eternity. Thinking about it, these two traits are what drove me more and more away from PvP and ESO in general, and I just see no reason not to do something about it. It's not fun, it's not skillful, it's hardly even a fair fight. It's stupid, really.

Running around rocks and trees is actually considered strategy and skill. It's using one's environment. Like Ra's al Ghul says to Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins, pay attention to your surroundings.

If you use LoS to mitigate damage and prepare your attack moves, that is indeed taking advatange of your battlefield.
But when all you do is exploiting a grossly overpowered dodgeroll in combination with the Eternal Hunt proc, it is not so much strategy but rather a monkey circus. I would be fine with that if I had proper ways to counter it, but there are way too few counters to it. Same with Trap Beast stacking in PvE back then or Vicious Death bombing in PvP before it got nerfed. It is not so much strategy and clever thinking and making you the smartest boy in town, the world and of all history, but it is rather a fairly well-known and easily-copied exploit of an overpowered setup. And it ruins combat fun, and believe it or not, this should be no1 priority in a game which is sold on the promise that it's... fun.
