I would love to have racial active abilities.

I like that they add little bit more stuff on racial passives but I think that race should still give you more stuff. Like one active skill for each race. I know many people wouldnt like that cause they think that then game is unbalanced. But how would it make game unbalanced? Yes, some skills would be better but so what? Some classes are better than others but people arent complaining. Oh wait... Yes they are! Sometimes it seems like some people just want that there should only be one race and one class. Then everything would be balanced!

But imo racial actives would bring more fun, more unique builds and it could fit lore nicely.

    Only problem is one of the races is purchasable (imperials), so if their active was in any way useful people would scream like infants.

    Dunmer had the ancestor active skill from morrowind in beta... it was changed because it was too powerful

    The PVE side of me absolutely endorses racial active skills.

    The PVP side of me would still like racial active skills to be implemented, but perhaps locked out of PVP scenarios if (which would most likely be the case) racial active skills were difficult to balance.

    Nord racial skills: Throws a bottle of mead on a single target and stuns for X seconds, and slowdown nearby enemies (the mead on the ground).

    Khajiit racial skill: Purr. Lowers enemy attack damage by 5, and if used within four seconds of death will transfer 1% of the enemy's carried gold to your inventory.

    Maybe Argonian active = "pedal" - increase swim speed for 6 seconds. :D

    No please.. We now have argonians atleast a little bit balanced, dont let us suffer more with active abilities like swim speed or potion buff. Overpowered races will become even powerfull.. let racials be as they are

    AHhh.... It's not about the utility of the skill or being powerfull enough to be used, it's a fun skill to be used on low levels, just like Soul Trap, a skill that already comes unlocked and it's usable only on low level PvE.

    but what if argonians had the water summoning skills those nyiad things have! that allow them to 'drown' enemies & swim away really really really fast!

    They should just transform them into normal skills - it would be good for the game´s diversity. With the possible exception of bretons (basically a strong absorb magika) and Orks, none of the racial ultimates would be on paar with today´s ultimates.

    Do you remember the exact racial skills? They were pretty similar to those in Morrowind/Oblivion.

    I think/ guess:

    Dunmer: summon ancestor spirit (i.e. a pet, no problem for game balance)
    Wood Elf: summon bear (i.e. a stamina based pet, no problem for balance)
    Khajit: Eye of the predator (AoE fear for non- nightblades)
    Argonian: full Self heal (?)
    Redguard: Adrenaline Rush (?) (i.e. Restore Stamina)
    Ork: Beserk (more dps, cannot die within next seconds)
    High Elf > ABSOLUTELY no idea ;)
    Imperial: Charm (?), i.e. target cannot attack you for x seconds.
    Nord: another fear, I think

    As one can see, it would put more traditional Elder Scrolls Flair into the game.
