MMO games are not charity, but you have to remember as well,
MMO games are not supposed to be a greed's cesspool

But if NFL Redzone isn't working at 1PM on a fall Sunday you better believe I'm calling AT&T in a panic.
MMOs and ESO specifically follow a similar path. I've seen people demand refunds on here when the server is down for 2 hours. I've also seen posters admit to not buying DLC and get angry that it's not just given out too. I've even seen people declare injustices because something cost $30 instead of their arbitrarily determined cost of fairness.
At the end of the day you just got to realize that much of it is keyboard hero nonsense said by people who wouldn't dare say things like they do online to people in real life. It's also because a lot of ESO's customers aren't full fledged adults who realize that the world isn't going to cater to their every whim.
TLDR: Get off my lawn.

Man, I see so many people complaining about MMO's lately... and with paying for name changes and stuff like that - of course they're gonna cost money.
MMO's, like every game or a company that makes them is A BUSINESS! and a BUSINESS means making profit.
Now, the companies who make these MMO's know that no game will last forever which is a sad truth but the truth none the less... so, they need to spectate whats going on every now and then and every time the game becomes a bit less popular - they find other ways to balance the profits against the people who left the game and stretch the life of the game just a bit more.
I mean, I run a business of my own and I feel like some of ya'll complaints about things costing money is like some customer will come to me and say - hey man, u made this graphics design for me a year ago... now change everything for free please?
No one owes anyone a thing - they need to pay bills, pay their employees and drive a fancy car while doing so (no sarcasm).
have a great day everybody!

That statement is kind of like "old popcorn" .. stale.
A lot of businesses find online meetings more productive than RL meetings. People seem to me more involved in the discussion. Just because I won't say it in your face, doesn't mean it is a bad thing.

You're right but lets face it - with the out dated looks and feel of the game - i don't think ESO will have plenty of years of success to come. I do believe the peak of its success is behind them and now they are doing what they can to profit... and yeah, even if it means being greedy. "dignity" plays no role for successful businesses.

However if you think online meetings are more productive than real life meetings then chances are you're that guy in the office who no one likes but you don't know it yet.
