Going guild trader to guild trader......how is this not a problem?

Not calling for a AH anymore but how do we not have some sort of searching system to tell us the guild trader that item is at?

I'm convinced they do this to keep us playing longer instead of adding content.

I would certainly welcome a lot more search options and functionality on guild traders.

If they had this, an AH really would not be needed.

awesome guildstore, great addon, you still have to go to GT, but you can add filters, and it remembers them, it takes me 5 minutes to check all the main citys stores when I look for something

That's nice if you are on PC and all, but Guild Store hunting on Console is Hell Incarnate, and OP plays on Xbox.

Im assuming they knew people would need something to do while in group finder. You could do that 2 more times before your group pops...

Aye I could use group finder for my tank. Tried queing and requing after 30mins.

Actually, it is that rare.

Compare the 1.5 hours it took you to the time it would have taken you to farm the ring doing PvP, getting a rewards of the worthy with a RNG chance to get the item you want, or farming the gold you spend on Cyrodiil Boxes and hope that RNG plays out.

So, in reality, you spent the least amount of time to find a rare item that is not easy to farm in the regular way.

Yes... They made it clear they don't want to add an AH but at least a searching tool would be awesome.

The Interface is horrible. And there is no reason for it to be that bad, just laziness.

Plenty of gold ones on eu server atm. Quite a common reward at the end of a campaign but purples are a pig to come by.

Im with @Nestor and @DRXHarbinger on this, not that common and you saved time compared to how you would earn it.

Im happy to put the effort in to get a deal / rare item

This is absolutely NO excuse to have a miserable search engine on the Guild Traders; have you ever spent hours scouring through the epic motif list to find that one page you've been looking for? It's pure madness, and leads to the same.

Would it REALLY inconvenience the programmers that much to add an alphabetical sort?

And, please, everyone, stop expecting add-ons to fix aspects of the game that should be standard. The modders aren't getting paid, and would probably like to play as well.

I don't think an AH is needed but better search tools would be a godsend - even if it remembered what you searched for last would be nice!!

If you want a rare item in high demand it should be challenging to get. Even if you plan on buying it.

To be fair I've tried every guild store using awesome guild store add on and never found what I was looking for so you were quite lucky to find what you wanted.

Of course it would have been easier if I'd have known there were none for sale but at least all the guilds got their wares well and truly browsed

It's a TIME SINK

Just like everything else in this game. It's all about keeping you on the game. The longer you're on the game the more % chance that you'll spend money.

Yes, the Guild Trader interface needs some work. I won't use the stock one. However the OP is asking for an Auction House to try and save time on buying things, that is not going to happen.

here's what you do. Get 5 good guilds ask the guild if they have the ring. If no one has it for sale move about your business eventually someone will get the ring and you will find the item passively.

You saw "AH" and instantly thought I was asking for an auction house. I said I want a better way to find items.

Btw rewards of the worthy are random. You don't get to choose which ones are sent to you. I do PvP 90% of my time.

Having a global listing of all items being sold by all guild kiosks is the same thing as an Auction House as far as it's effect on the economy.
