PLEASE fix the group finder!

It's not fun playing the "stand around the capital city LFG for over an hour" game because the group finder won't pop. It was working for me before the Hist patch.

It's broken on PS4 too. Some days it just gets "stuck" and the only indication I have of an issue is a UI bug and not being placed in a group. On days when it works I ALWAYS get a group in less than 30 seconds, group after group for hours and hours (i'm a tank). On days when it's broken I end up stuck in a void forever unable to find a group.

Spent two hours looking for a group tonight. Two hours. Was in queue the whole time too. Never found a group and queue never popped.

This needs to be fixed or I probably can't run a dungeon ever again.

How do I get ZOS to give me a stack of gold/silver keys as I have only been able tocomplete 2 undaunted pledges since DB launched in June..... I rely on group finder to get groups and it ain't workin' on PS4.

ZOS are aware of it but they can't figure out how they broke it, so don't know where to look to fix it!!!

I mean I don't want to knock them too much or anything, but how hard is it to make a working group finder? Other MMOs have them, and some have complex matchmaking queues that work. ESO's isn't complex at all: 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 DPS.

I rely on the dungeon finder too but it was actually working for me before the Shadows of the Hist patch.

There are tanks in chat saying they've been in queue for 2 hours without a pop, which should be impossible.

I refuse to believe it's because nobody is using the group finder.

(PS4 player here) They need to add a LFG emote, or a LFG title you can select with your specific role to make grouping easier. Even with text chat incoming they need to add this, how hard could it be.

LFG (Tank), LFG(Healer), LFG(Damage)

These are the quality of life enhancements we want ZOS that affect gameplay.

Yes, you're right. However playing the "LFG" in the main capital works, I always find a group there kinda quickly ^^
I don't even bother anymore to use the dungeon finder tool, it simply does not work. if you want to run dungeons the best thing you can do is either group up wth guildies or find people in zone chat

Took me 2.5 hours to find a group for gold and silver pledge playing the LFG chat game. That's an enormous waste of time and it's not like I can be doing something else while spamming chat like I can when using the group finder.

And that's just pledges. I like to run the daily random dungeon too with multiple characters. Standing around spamming chat for each one of them grows very tiring very fast.

It didn't work for almost two years. Several patches said it was fixed. It wasn't.

Then, when we least expected it, you actually made it work. It was glorious. For a few months we could reliably get groups, and bonus xp and rewards.

Then...you broke it again. You did a hot fix that didn't fix it. Then you said in patch notes that it was fixed. It wasn't. Then you said in a different patch that it was fixed. It's not. It's like 2014-2015 all over again.

I tried queuin for 2 hours yesterday as a tank at cp210. Never happened. Tried lastnight on my healer also for 1.5+ hours then just gave up. As two of the most needed classes I find it hard to believe that there isn't other people queuin for a single nonvet random. I also find it funny that no ZOS staff even acknowledge that this problem exists. They comment on other bugs but never when this topic comes up.

It's broken. Before DLC 15-20 minutes for group as DPS. Last 2 days over 2 hours yesterday & 4 hours today in finder as Healer with 0 groupings.

What I really liked about the game was being able to queue up for a dungeon while questing. Now that the dungeon finder doesn't work it just feels like a waste of time to stand in a crowded area to have a chance to find a group..

It's really unbelievable how bad ZOS programmers are. I've played MMOs for over 15 years and never seen a team break major components of the game every single major patch.

I'd be interested in seeing more transparency around number of players queued in each role, displayed clearly on the LFG tool, paired with a bit of information from ZOS about how the matching works, if it's more complex than assembling matching roles.

Current queued: Tanks (20) - Healers (5) - DPS (3000)

Being a software developer myself, I think ZOS has done an amazing job creating such a huge and complex game, but breaking existing functionality, and not having it fixed for this long is unnerving. The Group Finder is one of the most important features for me, and loved it when it was working.

ZOS, please give this one top priority before piling on new stuff to make more money on.

Bump! With Pvp in the state that it is, the only thing keeping me here is dungeons.

I use random dungeon four times a session for my different characters... But of late it hasn't worked at all.

So I check guild stores for twenty minutes, then log out.

Please fix asap.

The ridiculous thing is there's like 50 people standing around at the enclave but yet no one can form a group on their own.

so what level are you, what class, etc. thatd be interesting to know since Ive tried both tank and healer with 2+ hours of waiting for each role. Even with a tank and healer (me playing either role with a friend) we still have to wait 2+ hours for the queue unless we spam the chat

On PC/NA completely broken now. Used to get added to a group literally within minutes before patch 11, now it NEVER gets a group. Learned the LFG and LFP zone spam terms which works kinda sorta okay, but it's quite laborious!

PLEASE FIX THE GROUP FINDER, YOU NEED TO FIX IT!!!

Problem with using chat box to form groups is that so many people are also doing the same, that it means the lifetime of your posting in the average size window is far too short to get much attention.

This is pure speculation on my part, but the Group Finder smacks a lot of one of those problem areas where devs are trying to fix with code, what really amounts to a design issue. As a developer, you can tell your management until you are blue in the face that it's over complicated, over engineered tripe, but its amazing how very few managers are willing to entertain such notion. They aren't thinking about the best way to get it working properly (i.e throw it in the bin and start again) they are thinking about how they are going to explain all the wasted man hours that have gone into it.

Ok, so clearly I have no idea what really is the issue with the group finder. But if anything above has the ring of truth about it, then I'd urge ZOS to recognise that sometimes you have to take a step backwards before you can take two steps forward. Bin it and do something that works!!!

Group finder generally pops after you travel to another zone imo. It never works just using it and standing still. This is an xb thing btw. I usually queue and then go and go somewhere else and it pops quickly. Even for dps on normal.
